Category Changes

What the heck is with all the changes in Category? Ebay changed all these categories and put my items in the wrong category, for example a vase was put in as a bowl. I had to go through each of my listing to change the category back to what is was supposed to be. They did away with all the specific categories in Pottery and Glass. So annoying, saying they were making the changes to make items "easier to find". So automatically changing categories on my items, to the WRONG category, is making it easier to find?

eBay is still changing things. Best to wait till they are done before adjusting your listings to the correct ones.

eBay has been known to undo what you just did when they "help" with the new categories

Started two days ago, Tuesday, October 12 -- and not only in collectible antique glass vases, but also in dolls, if you can imagine.  They're all in one pile together.  Who really has the time to scroll through hundreds of thousands of dolls to find one like you were searching for?

I have only one listing -- two antique green glass vases with gold trim -- that are now listed as "bowls."  Yeah, right.  (I guess I should consider myself super lucky to have only one listing!)  I tried, on Tuesday to change the category to Collectibles > Decorative Collectibles > Vases.  That stuck for a few hours, but eBay put it back to Cookware, Dinnerware & Serveware > Bowls.  

Then yesterday, 10/13, I tried to update the Item Specifics.  At one point yesterday morning, eBay was saying I needed to add something like 11-12 Item Specifics.   Some of the fields, though, for those Item Specifics had a tiny-print message above them, something to the effect of "This Item Specific will soon be required."   "Soon"???  It's not required now?  Then why are you telling me, in bold print, that I need to update Item Specifics???  So, I tried, I really tried, to put something in some of those fields.  Some were accepted and some were not.  

And then, also yesterday, some genius at eBay flipped a switch and the number of all "viewers" was reset to Zero.  There were several posts about that here in the Selling Board.   It took eBay a couple hours to restore the numbers of viewers.  

I did, however, add a paragraph into my item's description -- to the effect that even if eBay categories these antiques as "bowls", they are, in true fact, vases, intended to hold cut flowers, and are not meant to serve food.

I've spent to many hours now revising my many glass listings were in a totally different category called BOWLS. I get that things often change and eBay is going to do what's best for eBay so not bothering with 

complaining about changes. However, out of common Courtesy it would be nice to give the SELLERs a

heads up when changes are coming. Instead I'm spending my precious sleep time here trying to find out 

what's going on with my glass listings AND revising them all one by one. Courtesy...... too much to ask?

Also FYI to all: the glass and pottery are now combined but vintage glass can be listed in Collectables/Kitchen & Home/Glassware & Drinkware. 

Wish I had known this as well as the last 2 days Ive spent revising my Many glass listing have been waisted.

Same issue here. Not in the right categories at all!
