Listen up, eBay...It's Labor Day, a federal holiday. There is no mail delivery today!!! No shipping!!! No carrier scans!!!

 

I sold something yesterday, Sunday. Printed the label yesterday, Sunday. Today is Monday, Labor Day, no mail service.

 

I now have a ding for "tracking uploaded on time but no carrier scan."

 

No, eBay, there is NO CARRIER SCAN because there is no mail service today! No scans today! The item is sitting by my front door waiting for pick up tomorrow when mail service resumes.

 

Why is this so often an issue?? Why is it so hard to do it right??

M y seller dashboard suddenly shows 3 dings for same thing, "tracking uploaded on time but no carrier scan",  for  period of Jun 01, 2018 - Aug 31, 2018. I haven't even printed the labels for this weekend yet though, and all sales were Sept. 1st or later. 

All of my previous sales have a on-time carrier scan, so I have no idea what this is about. I tried to download report to see specifics and it shows nothing. Hopefully it's a glitch and they will correct, or their mistake has taken my status from top rated to above standard.

Same issue here on items already “delivered early”.  No carrier scan. Usps says delivered

 

Add it to the huge list of site issues... 

 

and we are suppose to trust these people with a payment system running smoothly in the future?

I've got one of these on my dashboard, too

Uploaded but no scan

 

Looking at the tracking ...

(purchase 8/29)

label printed 8/30

Picked Up 8/30

Arrived sort center 8/30

Depart Sort Center 8/30

Blahblah

Delivered 9/1

 

I did a "call me" last night .. got an actual US rep ... it's a glitch 😞 They are "adding reports to the list as they come in and will be fixed within The next few weeks"

 

Unacceptable. 

I could lose my Guaranteed Delivery and TRS if this glitch continues. It needs to be fixed NOW. I will be calling once a week until it is gone.

Could you check into this and find out why it will take a "few weeks" to fix something that has normally been corrected immediately when I have called in the past?

This seems to always be an issue when there is an American Holiday.  I think its because the programmers are offshore and have no clue as to what days USPS is open or closed when it comes to our Holidays.  I guess if its not a Holiday for them then we should be shipping everything.

 

You would think that somebody would have supplied them with a Calendar of American Holidays so they could fix the program and not have to deal with this all the time.

Except ... this isn't a holiday issue.

Errors are from last week's shipping.

I have 11 on my dashboard.  I also did a "call me" yesterday.  I was told Sep 11th for a fix.

I have the same issue. they claim there was no pick up scan from packages shipped last week. Yes, they were both scanned and show in ebay's tracking. One was already delivered, with the other slated for today.

 

I'm reaaly getting tired of these endless glitches.

Hi @penguins_dont_fly! The time a site issue takes to resolve can vary depending on the root cause of the problem and the complexity of the fix. The developers are working to resolve this with urgency. I don't have an update on an ETA right now. In the meantime, I've added the examples provided here to their report.

Swell.

 

All of my "late" items just dropped off... they were all from a single order that suffered this exacty dysfunctionality LAST Labor Day weekend!  Package arrived "late", and didn't have the mandated on-time "acceptance scan" because of the Holiday.  Same Stuff, Different Day Year.

Will this be "auto-corrected", or is everyone going to have to call CS to get it removed?

Would it kill ebay to just come out and assure everyone that they wont let this glitch destroy any seller's TRS. 

 

Or does ebay see this glitch as a great way to save some money as it will unfairly dowgrade a number of sellers off TRS for a period of time so they wont get the discount.

If this is a glitch I am sure that if you stay on top of this that Ebay will remove the defects from this. I am going to check my shipments now and make a note if I have these late  items so I can call if I need to to get the defects off my account Asap. We live in a world where tech meets glitch. Better get used to it.

I've got 4 all of a sudden showing this too. Good to know it's a glitch, but hopefully I don't have to do anything to get it taken care of.

Two of them have normal tracking, one just shows I uploaded tracking, and the other one shows it arrived but didn't have an initial carrier scan. 

I hope they all come off because I'm on the edge of getting dinged for my shipping. I've totally gone above and beyond to make sure my shipments have gotten out on time, including running to the post office after vacation to ship items. Blarg.
