Just a comment...putting it here because EBay doesn't have a suggestion or feedback link or any email contact options. My comment - It would be nice if when we cancelled a listing we could actually make a selection that is TRUE. I have upcoming travel that would mean I could not ship an item if it were purchased - so have to cancel the listing and relist at a later time. So perhaps the cancel reason could include "pausing the listing for personal reasons" or "other" that could be filled in (or just "other", as better than a false selection).

Unless your listing is an auction with bids on it, eBay has no problem with you canceling listings. eBay understands all sellers would have different reasons for canceling a listings. I see no need for sellers having to submit to eBay why they need to take this actions. I like having more freedom in this area than having to tell eBay why?
Good Luck Selling!

Thank you.

If you cancel a listing it is no longer available for sale. You would not be lying. When you return and relist it then the item becomes once again available for sale. No reason for buyers to know your situation other than is it available or not available.

If you cancel more than one at a time, you don't have to select a reason. Of course, this doesn't help you if you are only cancelling one. I just use no longer available

If you go to your listings list and check the items you want to delist, then just above click on actions, and click end, no reason is required. You can do a bunch at one time. No reason required.

Fixed Price listings can be ended in bulk.
Auctions have to be ended individually.
The reason "No longer available for sale" isn't a lie. It's just not an expounded upon reason.
If you want to put your items on a delayed/temporary break, you'd need to have a store and use Vacation Settings.

Can't you just put yourself on Vacation Mode? That would give a note on the listing that if they purchase it there may be a delay in shipping until your return date.

It would also be great if there was an, "on vacation", button or another button to "shut shop", if you`re unavailable to process your orders for a few days.
I know shops have this, but how about one for ordinary sellers. We too, need "a day or two off", now and then.
How about it Ebay?

So you want the perks of a Store without having to pay for a Store?
I'd like a Ferrari but I want it for the price of a Fiat........not going to happen.
FYI - You can accomplish a similar thing without a Store by using the Out Of Stock option, bulk change the quantity available to zero, then bulk change back when you return.
If it's only "a day or two" just change your handling time to the appropriate length.
