Well when I listed my item, I had the option to do the promoted listing. I’m a new seller, and didn’t know much, so I did the promoted listing. However, I heard there is a fee if my item sells. Now I want to try to remove it, but I don’t know how. Can someone tell me how I can remove it? Or if I can?

Go to the item(s) in question
Click on "revise item" (upper left hand corner)
Scroll down to "promoted listing"
Un-check the box.
Click on "update listing" (at the bottom of the page)

When you take away from Ebay their Promoted Listings fee, your items visibility will suffer and decrease and you will lose lots of traffic and sales.
Just something to think about.

Not necessarily.

Keep in mind that you may still incur a promoted listings fee within 30 days of removing the promotion from your listing. The way it works is that once a buyer clicks on the listing through the sponsored placement, the system registers the referral. If the buyer purchases it within 30 days of clicking on the sponsored placement, the ad fee will be charged.

So I am not as clever as I think I am? Rats!
So the best low risk way to draw new traffic is to promote low priced items for a few days and then end the promotions. Never promote expensive items unless you can recoup the promoted rate versus the base price you originally would accept.

My item is already suffering. I lost 4 watchers and now I only get like 1 view per hour. I think the promoted listing only works in the beginning then rips you off in the end. That was why I wanted to get rid of it.

I think you're doing fabulously well with your first listing. My listings should "suffer" so much . . . .
Your listing started at $0.99. Within 15 minutes you got your first bid, and the bids have increased steadily to where they are now: $64. 00. And buyers are willing to pay $8.85 for expedited shipping.
You have 22 watchers. I don't think any listing of mine has ever had 22 watchers. Losing watchers, though, is not a measure of the ultimate success of any eBay auction.
There are about 26-27 hours left in your auction. There seems to be some good interest in your listing, unopened packaged toys, and the bids might go even higher.
Please be aware, though, that most auction listings on eBay do NOT get bids that increase as well and as steadily as yours has. I hope this auction works well for you, but not all auctions are as successful as this one seems to be.

And where is information as to this fact? Another eBay ploy to rip the seller off!

Thanks for the Advice!

Promotions work as others have stated.
Once a person has seen and 'clicked' that item, whether putting it in 'watch list or not'- if that buyer purchases, seller is charged the extra 'Promotions' cost.
The biggest reason to use promotions is 2 fold
Better view, but even more importantly....
There are other peoples items LISTED IN YOUR LISTING and if you do promotions, it will be YOUR items being shown there as well as in OTHER PEOPLES SIMILAR LISTINGS for that same type item.

First, the method of unchecking the box under "revise" does not work. I have done this repeatedly for several items and it continues to show up as promoted.
Second, promotions are a scam. I was selling items just fine before the promotions option became available. Now, my listings aren't even getting views. My items (specifically trading cards) are exactly the same as others that are selling, and almost always cheaper than recently sold items. Yet my items get less than 10 views a week. I used to sell 3-5 cards a week. I haven't sold a card in weeks and some of my listings aren't even getting views.
SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. And you will never convince me otherwise. It's a scam for eBay to earn more money from sales and screw the seller.

PL's are not a scam. But they do work better for some people than others. For a number of reasons. They work the best for people who sell in highly competitive categories. I love them & about 70% of my sales come from PL's. They were a huge game changer for me.
OP, I would suggest not adding anything to your listings unless you've researched it. I mean, of course there's a fee, Ebay doesn't give you things without charging you, so you should thoroughly familiarize yourself with them prior to signing up or adding them to your listing. As someone else stated if whoever purchases your item went through a PL to get to it, it won't matter that you turned it off, you pay the fee for 30 days, if that's how your buyer got to the item.
To remove, just go to your Marketing Tab, select Advertising Dashboard, scroll down & you'll see a list of your PL campaigns, just END the one you wish to end.
