I have looked through the policies regarding ammunition and I don't know if this would be against policy or not???
I have some packages of Gas Checks that I would like to sell. They are small brass disks that some reloaders use to place on the back of a bullet to keep the pressures from deforming the bullet when it is fired. It is really not part of the projectile, nor it is part of the casing... So I am not sure how this falls into the policy.
I see that there is currently one person in the UK who has a box of gas checks up for sale and although I know that just because I see it on ebay doesn't mean it can be there, many, many, many auctions slip through the cracks all the time, but I wanted to confirm a yes or no before I bother to go through the trouble of listing them.
If you don't know the answer, please do speculate. Speculation tells me nothing. If there is someone here who actually knows or works for ebay, I would appreciate some feedback.
Thanks.

Hi DC,
Had to point that out to you, I am pretty sure you meant do not...but I'll leave that up to you.
Here's what I know.
If you sell alot and value selling here anything to do with firearms is a risky business.
Not necessarily because of ebay...but because of other disgruntled sellers who have had their listings pulled. They may very well report it and once someone at ebay receives the report it most likely will mean the listing will be pulled whether or not there is any guidelines that they can look too to justify it.

No ammunition or parts of ammunition are allowed to be listed on ebay.

What I am currently selling is not in violation at all in regards to ebay policy and so I am not concerned with having anything I have listed pulled. I was curious however in regards to the gas checks.
and yes, I meant do NOT speculate.

I see no reason why you can't sell them.
I bought some "wonder wads" earlier this year on eBay.
Same thing but made of wool.
Be sure to mention what caliber they're for.

Sometimes it is difficult not to speculate --- you see, eBay tends to alter policy as they go
Yours is a good example --- your item falls into a "gray area" --- weapons related but not directly banned --- but I can GUARANTEE it will be reported --- at which time the listing will be pulled, you will receive punitive punishment, and for the foreseeable future your account will be monitored closely
Not speculation --- I have "been there, done that" --- not with your particular item but something else on the "eBay Radar"
Your call ...

After reading this I would say NO
Not allowed | You cannot list:
|
It would be considered a Component of ammunition. . .

The guidelines for posting are outlined by eBay here https://community.ebay.com/t5/About-the-Community/Rules-of-Engagement/m-p/26164369?nobounce=
Just so you know, posters are allowed to post within guidelines, which are searchable on Google, whatever they feel adds to the discussion, helps a future poster searching for answers to a similar question, or just for general information. We posters are the general public, and some of us are also current eBay users.
Be aware that CS reps are not held accountable for their opinions.
Just because you might think that an item does not violate policy, does not mean it will not be reported and removed by eBay. Many items in the firearms categories are reported and removed that a seller might think should not have been removed. Removals go against your account.
If you list your item and it gets removed, do not list it again.

Yet eBay allows:
Sulphur Powder
Charcoal Powder
Potassium Nitrate
And if you search for any of the 3 eBay gives links to the other 2
I guess components of components are OK
