I sold a ring that needed the buyer to choose the size they needed. The item was paid for immediately, but no size noted. I have contacted buyer 2x with no response. I am running out of time before I will be penalized for a late shipment. What are my options besides sending one and hoping is right size? Thanks

Hi, You could have used a variation listing. I know, could of, should of, would of. All what everyone is saying is an option. I would however close the listing " Per customer" The customer will ask you why you closed it, then you can explain why to them. Ebay told me to do it this way 2 times when there was an issue I needed to make sure was ok with the buyer. Good luck all!!!

Since you have 2 sizes for sale, I would have created 2 separate listings, one for each size.
You offer free returns, so if the buyer won't reply, pick a size and send it. Then if it happens to be the wrong size, the buyer can return it on your nickle.

till you find out which one they want. You could end up getting negative feedback + paying shipping both ways.

Ebay does not give out phone numbers and paypal has not shown email addresses for quite some time. There is a work-around to find it on paypal, start a 'return' and you will see it (could as of 6 mos. ago or so).
I would cancel before letting the shipping date pass and would not 'guess and ship'. If they are not telling you what they need, they may not fit 'either' size and obviously did not read the listing as they would be expecing to recieve a message to clarify. So, cancel/refund and then the buyer will figure out what happend and contact you- when they go to contact, they may see the messages you sent that they did not see & respond to.
In the future, if you're going to do 1 listin with multiple sizes, you need to set up the listing as a 'variation'- this forces them to choose from a drop down menu before they can even purchase.

eBay provides both the buyers telephone number (for 30 days, I think?) & personal e-mail address (up up to 14 days), simply go to the order details for the specific transaction. Been that way for several years. Used to have to call eBay CS to get the same info.
Of course, it is always best to use eBay messages for all communications as eBay folks can read them.
Two days "ain't" that long to wait for a response. Would never recommend that the OP take a shot in the dark and send one of the two rings w/o buyer input. The odds are 50/50 it wouldn't be the right one.

eBay has temporally suspended any negative effects to you TRS status until June 30th. Don't
worry about it. Wait for the customer to respond. See eBay messages in your message area.

I thought "choice" listings were not permitted. They possibly might think the listing was for both sizes and are expecting two rings in the mail. The title stated sizes 6 and 9 and I didn't see it stated clearly anywhere that only one ring would be sent. You did say let me know what you need, which could be interpreted to mean many different things.

Thanks for the input. I cancelled the order and refunded her money. Have never heard another word. Maybe she didn't want the ring and this was her way of cancelling. Have relisted the item.
