There's no way around the losing extra Paypal fees when a buyer messages and demands you to cancel the purchase and they'll re-buy the exact same thing because they used the wrong credit card huh. The wrong card payment looks fine to me and everything.

I'd choose between two options:
1) cancel and block the buyer.
2) Cancel, relist if you don't have more listed, add the money you lost on the cancellation plus 13% to cover additional costs to the price of the item the buyer wants to re-purchase.

If it's been processed by Paypal- no. You've been here enough to know the other post is NOT the correct path. Customer Service and all... They probably either have a CC that will go over the limit and want to avoid the fee or?

Woah. So get this. The buyer asked cancel early this morning. In a span of 3 hours he started his slew of oddly aggressive messages (some in all caps, some not) telling me that they need to cancel. I wasn't around to cancel and adjust my inventory until 3 hours after their first message.
Check out snippets of their last message.

Some of you might disagree with me here, but I did what @myboardid suggested and cancelled and blocked. Don't need them to re-buy with this extra drama during the holidays.

After reading that, you did the right thing. I had no idea you sold to people that are on, and then forget to take, their meds. You should probably fix that (lol)

Yea I know, right? I'm not sure if he's borderline threatening me or what. It just made me glad I don't live in NJ in fear of getting pulled over by this guy. No offense to New Jerseyans.

Cancel using buyer's request, block "buyer", and don't ship. Hopefully it is a low cost item. "Buyer" obviously has more than one problem.

Good-googli-a-moogli, I'm getting feisty in my old age. Had he explained nicely and asked to cancel I would've. But as soon as those threats came out it would be GAME ON. I would've reported him to Col. Patrick A. Callahan for using his position of authority to coerce you into cancelling a purchase you were under no obligation to cancel. That's police misconduct and should be reported. He's a pc of chit and needs to be reprimanded for using his position like that.

I am from NJ no offense taken. The police here (urban city) are intimidating to say the least. Some troopers also depending on area they patrol.

With the ambiguous possible "threats", maybe I just cancelled a purchase for Liam Neeson.

Us mere humans make mistakes from time to time. There may be nothing wrong with the first card itself but a personal preference of the buyer not to use it. Maybe it is close to its limit or something else.
I don't like that we can't get the PP fees refunded, but if you don't get a bunch of these, I wouldn't worry about it and just take care of this customer as they need you to.
If you find you are doing cancellations too much. Then you may need to raise your pricing by a quarter so you can absorb the PP fees easier.
