The following buyer won’t pay for his high bid, person1 and the following person contacted me to send the won item to a different address and he didn’t win the item, person2.
You cant report this on eBay easily so I went this route. I hope eBay monitors this and closes they’re accounts!!

So, you're saying a second person who did not win the auction wants you to send the item to them at their address?
Just ignore it. eBay doesn't care. But thanks for the reminder we should confirm emails is from the real buyer and to only ship to addresses shown on Paypal.
Even if eBay acted on your complain which they won't. All the scammer has to do is say; sorry, that email was supposed to someone else.

No seller needs problematic buyers this time of year.....list those watches as a buy it now price immediately payment required and avoid all those players. Iphones, other tech items that are hot, don't bother with auctions right now you are just going to encounter more like those two. Then verify that paypal says "ok to ship" before sending anything. Don't verify via email, those can be fake. Don't verify via ebay either. If they money isn't there in paypal, don't ship.

Hi star! TY...kudos to you too for always being a helpful member on this board! 🙂
There were the usual threads this week with new sellers mailing off items without paypal verification, several in the $300 range. It's a shame when a new seller doesn't understand the rules and loses so much money and the item too.
And verify mailing address, that paypal matches the address given in ebay. There's still that loophole too although rarer these days. If they addresses differ, mail to the paypal address, no other, or seller protection is lost.

I just can not understand why ebay employees have been telling sellers they do not need to check PP.
Very disturbing:(
PP is their bank acct for selling and should be checked for every sale.
Just happy to see you and others trying to get the correct information out here for sellers:)

I so agree! Ebay should help sellers retain their funds and imho should do this by warning sellers to verify in Paypal that the money is there and the transaction is labeled "ok to ship". I too am troubled that they do not.
A seller has to look out for themselves. Sellers need to not get distracted by the other parts of the sale and forget to verify the money is in your account without "pending" attached. After all, the ultimate goal is to get paid, right?

Because they are forced into believing that ebay is the all-seeing eye.

This appears to be the latest scam. Scammers will watch listings they are interested in. When the item sells, they contact the seller through the closed listing, pretending to be the original buyer. They try to convince the seller that they are the person who bought the item (or they are a friend, relative, etc) and they need it shipped to some other address.
