Buyer Feedback

I have had 10 recent sales and not 1 buyer left feedback. Yet Ebay gets all over me, sending notices if I forget 1 feedback. Why doesn't Ebay get after the buyers to leave feedback? I don't see this happening.

Would you, as a buyer, like to get harassed by eBay to leave feedback?  How likely would you be to come back and shop again knowing that if you buy something else you're setting yourself up for more spam?

I will receive feedback for about 1 of every 10 transactions or 10%.

Buyers don't leave feedback for sellers as much as they used to.

I, as a buyer,  see reminders when I list to leave feedback........  I'm sure they don't want to hack off buyers with a bunch of spam.  Sellers are a different kettle of fish......on the theory of at least some buyers WANT feedback, they do remind sellers more often...... in order to satisfy buyers and hopefully have them return and buy again........

Buyers feedback is askew and useless in my opinion. What buyer did, order something and pay with credit card, PayPal, etc. Wow nothing earth shaking, and eBay does not allow red/black donuts for buyers. If a buyer starts getting fluke prior paying, a seller can still bail out a save itself the hassle. Seller on the other hand needs to package, protect, ship goods as promptly as possible risk getting scammed and still goes ignored. 

Notice how you get pestered to leave a review when you go to a b&m, more so if they have your online profile. It’s backwards. Awhile back I went to my local bank to deposit lose change, less than a week later I received an email on how was my experience.

There's a flaw in your logic here.  These are things a seller is expected to do.  Why should buyers be expected to give them extra credit for doing what they're supposed to do?

I mainly sell but when I do buy, ebay sends me a reminder to leave feedback a day or 2 after I receive my item.

Leaving FB is voluntary for buyer and seller.  Do believe eBay sends a friendly reminder to leave FB. vs an over the top  "getting all over you" notification.

When I sold I always  left a thank you when I  printed a shipping label.  The buyer did his part and paid me and I hadn't had the item in my had -  did it 1665 times - my receive FB from buyers as a seller was  62.5% of total items shipped..  Shipped  with in 1 day or sooner and even on Saturdays and unstated the condition of pre-owned items - never shipped by ground service. plus some other things that I learned in my real selling career.

There are actually sellers on ebay that wont leave buyers a positive feedback until the buyer leaves them a positive feedback first?

Isn't that unbelievable?

They receive the same amount of reminders that you do. They are just better at ignoring them.

eBay pesters buyers for feedback as it is. People are getting feedback fatigue from every company on the planet harassing us for feedback - I expect people just ignore it. I wish eBay would STOP sending buyers reminders or at least let it be an opt-out.

eBay DOES remind buyers to leave FB.  Strangely, I have found it fairly easy to ignore any reminders from just about any entity on line.

It doesn't bother me that eBay reminds me to leave feedback, its not like they are calling me reminding me, its just an email/message.
