On Bonanza if I can't find something I can put it on reserve to hide it from the public. On ebay I have to end the listing. I think Bonanza has it right.

I have no problem ending the listing and relisting.

On ebay it's easy to set the quantity to zero if you have the out-of-stock option enabled.

You can do that on ebay if you have the OOS option enabled.

Just set the quantity to "0" until you find the item.

So ... does that make ebay better than Bonanza?

When you end a listing, it goes on your Unsold  List for 60 -90 days and can be relisted and visible with a single click.

I’m not sure why you want to hide a listing on Bonanza, when the site does it for you. That lack of buyers does the trick.

It's a selling site similar to eBay.   Apparently sales aren't that great for the people I know that list there.

Bonanza is an ebay clone that lets you import your ebay listings, they don't do 1/100,000th of the business of ebay. When I investigated it a few years ago I was averaging more money per day in several categories than the entire bonanaza website was doing per year across all sellers in those same categories.

Basically no one knows the website exists outside of resellers.

I agree with everything you all say. I like the way bz does it because I don't get a new listing number or lose watchers. It was just an observation.

Bonanza revenue is 4.8 million. Much less than ebay for sure. However they offer free stores and listings with reasonable selling fees. I find it useful.

 JFYI  With ebay you don't get a new item number and you still keep the watchers.

Ok. I must be doing it wrong. Every time I end a listing and start fresh ( not relist) I get a new listing number and all the watchers are gone. It's no big deal. We all figure things out.
