I want to block a buyer. Sorry folks, I'm an old man and don't get all the ins and outs! This man never put in a bid but wanted a package deal etc. Anyway, he has been abusive, I have stuff that he wants and so do other people. He got nasty when I said I could not make a deal outside of eBay. Whatever. I don't want him to undermine me.
How can I block this dude from my life??
PS: Has never worked for me to reply to offers. If you want it then pay the price and you get it!

You will find the Blocked Buyer List here:

Look for "block a buyer"...a have maybe a little under a thousand blocked people.
I don't need any "drama" buyers.

I have used the block buyer through eBay messages. On the desktop version there is an Action button at the top of the message. Click that and choose "Block Member".

Well here's the thing: I don't have his ID. Here's the way it appeared in email:
biddersidentityprotected
I don't want this joker giving me problems. Please help.

That may be his ID, though.
Block that.
In any case, if you see that as the source, don't open it. Just delete it.
And when you add it to the Blocked Bidder List, opt to have all communication Blocked as well.
Note that if you have replied to any of his annoying messages, he can continue to communicate for 30 days from your reply.
Also if it shows up in your email as "biddersidentityprotected" delete that.
You don't want to Block eBay Messages from your email, but when I get an email notification from eBay that I have a message it gives the ID of the member.
So if you see the ID (or the protected name) just delete that email without reading.
And have a peaceful and happy New Year.

How did this buyer get your email to contact you outside eBay Messages? If someone wants to communicate any other way than on eBay, that is sometimes a precursor to a scam attempt.

On eBay Messages, are you seeing biddersidentityprotected in the From line?
If you open the message and click on the Action button and then click on Block This Member, I believe he would be blocked by eBay just like any other member.
I don't like the idea of doing business with anyone whose member name is incognito. And he shouldn't get nasty because you are doing the right thing and not going outside eBay.
