Block Russia

Why has eBay not blocked sellers from Russia. Russians are selling items stolen from Ukraine. Come on EBay, join the rest of the civilized world and cut them off!

So why are you spreading propaganda when you KNOW that's what it is?

Re: Block Russia

One should ask the same thing about China, too, but here they are.

Oh wait, I forgot...a lot of Americans are addicted to cheap Chinese crap. Those pennies add up.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Re: Block Russia

Dooood, I don't know why but Russians and Chinese have been (by FAR) my most frequent buyers outside the U.S., at least before the invasion.  So once it started, I knew I needed to brace myself for a significant income loss.  But here's the really weird thing: it's like the removal of Russians from the buyer's market just made Chinese buyers (of vintage costume jewelry, my biggest category) go into HYPERDRIVE.  The past several days, ALL my best sales, including my highest auction bids, have been from Chinese buyers.  I can't say for certain that it has anything to do with the war, but I definitely would have noticed the spike even if there weren't any apparent trigger.

No kidding, I had to get FBI clearance to do lab tech work in the poultry science building at a university in Alabama, because they have anthrax somewhere in a freezer in there.

Re: Block Russia

You don’t know that, and the Russian people are both innocent of Putin’s actions and brainwashed by him.

Even McDonald’s closed up shop but is paying employees salaries (not sure how).

Re: Block Russia

Oh, please.

Russia has a history of accusing others (false flag) of what they’re about to do themselves

No, OAN. Maybe Tucker Carlson.

You know, the Putin cheerleaders. Tucker is so complimentary they’re playing outtakes on Russian tv.

Can I leave one day without this political **bleep**?!
Why it should be on Selling board?
Nobody can tell me who to buy from and who to sell.

Re: Block Russia

What a stupid comment. This is NOT reality. Russians are people, just like you and me. The ruble isn't worthless, in fact..... I, and Wall Street have invested in Russian assets recently. Quit stating opinion/propaganda as fact! Doing so will only make you a loser in the long term.

Are you blatantly disseminating a conspiracy theory?  And do you realize that there are 'biolabs' everywhere?  Where do you think your blood samples go to for testing?  Your skin samples, your urine, etc.  BIOLABS.  They are everywhere there are medical facilities.

And even though Smallpox has been eradicated in the world, there are small secret holdings of the deadly virus in labs here and there.  "They" could have destroyed forever one of the most deadly pathogens but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.  Not to be a 'negative' moondog but humans have never met a weapon that they didn't use...and shame on us for that.

"What a stupid comment."

It would have helped if you had cut and pasted that comment.  I have no idea what you are referring to as stupid, nor why you called that poster a 'loser'.  Enlighten me please.

Re: Block Russia

Ok Mr.Russian propaganda. The labs had pathogens just like any other research lab had and theres no connections to them being weaponized. Russia has had bioweapons for a looong time now. Right now they are just looking for a reason to use them. Ask yourself why Putin propped up Ahsad so much and had no problems with him using his bioweapons.

Re: Block Russia

Not to get super technical but there are lots of reasons to keep samples of eradicated pathogens available for study.  But you definitely have a point about humans using any kind of weapon conceivable .....or at least having the ABILITY to use them, and for their enemies to know they have it, and it gets real interesting when it comes to smallpox  There are only two locations where live smallpox samples are still kept, Atlanta Georgia, and guess where else?  Lol, SHOCKER, Siberia, Russia.  Just like how the US and Russia have the highest number of nuclear warheads, by far.  And the fact that they remain our enemy is why it would be too foolishly trusting of us to destroy our samples.  It svcks but anything they can do, we must be able to do also.
