Beware new scam !

Just received a realistic looking direct fake email from a scammer pretending to be from Ebay (with all the logos etc),saying I had an offer on an expensive ‘buy it now’ item and to click on the link, they had my Ebay seller name correct and the item.I’m never going to fall for this rubbish, but someone might,so it’s just friendly advice for sellers to beware !

Good advice! You stated it was direct email not thru ebay messaging linked to your email right?

Re: Beware new scam !

Just having your eBay seller name (I'm assuming you mean your ID) rather than your actual given name is an immediate red flag, too.

Forward the message (as an attachment) to spoof@ebay.com

If you don't report they just keep sending these messages. If you do report it's still whack-a-mole but eBay does take what action they can.
