Best Offer Option

After 6 months of discussing this with eBay employees (and it being fixed for 2 months), I was informed today that the Best Offer option is in fact, not an option. Even though you do not click this so-called option when creating your listing, it is added to all listings now. Due to my physical limitations, I do not want this option. I tried it and it didn't work for me. I feel eBay is just lying to sellers with putting a button up and making it seem that if you do not click the button, you have an option to opt out. I also can't believe that so many eBay employees do not know their company's policies on these topics and claim to fix my issue over and over. This is a big disappointment for a tiny seller trying to add income by selling off personal belongings. Besides the ever increasing fees, you cannot even choose how to handle your own sales. So every week I have to manually delete this from my listings.

Re: Best Offer Option

I just scrolled thru your listings and did not see best offer on any of them. Maybe they fixed it?

It is frustrating to feel that you don't have any control but the issue seems to have gone away. Now, if only, some of the other issues would follow suit.

Re: Best Offer Option

I manually change it every week to delete them. They say it is now a mandatory field. Thank you!

Re: Best Offer Option

I use the more advanced/business listing form, and ebay does NOT add Best Offer to my listings.  I believe ebay is adding Best Offer if you use the Quick listing form.  Look for a link to switch to the more advanced listing form.

Yes, this. It's also called the "business tool."  Ignore the big message about how only big business sellers should use it.

Hi @3perfect, we announced this in October of 2017. You can review the details here.

In the past, this unwanted addition to your listings was a function of using the app or short form, that is no longer the case. It has to do now with your tenure as a seller and the price regardless of the format used to list.

Re: Best Offer Option

Thank you for that link. I was not selling on eBay then. Also, no employee I spoke with seemed to know that and as I noted, it was fixed for me for a few months. It has been a very frustrating process but I believe I have a handle on it now. Thank you

Where is this "more advanced business listing form" located at? I looked on my Seller Hub page but I do not see a link to get a more advanced type of it. However, I will also take a peek under the actual
"List yout item" form.

Thanks
