Did you mean:

Below Standard

I was selling watch batteries to get positive feedback from my customers. I did get them, but eBay put me on below standard performance. Reason; I could not provide the tracking numbers to eBay. I always send another set of batteries to customers without question.

What should I do to remove the tag below standard from my store e?  I am working hard to establish my business—any help.

I did spend much time on my dashboard to remove this defect, but I could not make it happen. And eBay is of no help as I could not reach their help desk through phone.

Re: Below Standard

Sounds like you need to use tracking. That would have prevented this in the first place.

I'm a little confused by your post as compared with your feedback, or what there is to see of it. As you have marked all your transactions as Private, it's a little hard to see details.

You got 1 Neg for sending the wrong item and (apparently) not refunding your buyer. If you did refund them, did you try asking them for a feedback revision? That would get your percentage back up to 100%.

I don't see any listings for watch batteries, but even if you were sending them in plain white envelopes, I don't think you get a Below Standard simply for not having tracking numbers. I think that's only a limitation that would prevent a Top Rated Seller status (or whatever they're calling it these days).

On the other hand, if eBay is specifically complaining about a lack of tracking numbers on any sales, then either start shipping things in padded envelopes that will qualify for First Class Package (and thus provides a tracking number), or at least rein in the number of very light and cheap items for which you would lose money if you shipped with tracking.

I would focus on boosting sales to water down the effect of that Neg on your selling percentage, assuming that you're not successful in getting the buyer to agree to revise it. (Even just getting it up to a Neutral would fix your percentage.) Good luck.

Re: Below Standard

I don't believe that buyers can see anything regarding being below standard. That is just there for your awareness. Keep selling and keep your metrics in line and it should all work out eventually

Re: Below Standard

You can't go below standard for not using tracking so the problem must be for other reasons. If you look at your sellers dashboard it should tell you if you have gone over the maximum amount of defects.

Re: Below Standard

Item is a watch battery, and I sell it for $1.60. Money wise that was not possible.

I believe that the "Tracking uploaded on time and validated"  and " Late shipment rate" are only used to determine Top Rated status, and are not considered when determining Above Standard status.

Can you explain how "not proving tracking" by itself put you below standard? There must be more to this story.
