Good Afternoon,

I have a Basic Store subscription for a year. My renewal date is today, March 1, 2018.

I got an email from ebay on Feb. 8, 2018 letting me know that my renewal date was coming up and that my monthly fee would be $19.95 because I have a year subscription. Okay, all well and good.

I get an email from ebay today, March 1, 2018 telling me know that my yearly Basic store subscription has renewed at a montly charge of $15.95 per month.

Okay...so that's odd.

I also read the Seller Updates yesterday and noticed that my Basic Store yearly subscription would be increasing to $21.95 per month.

Does anyone have ANY idea what my monthly Basic Store subscription fee will be for the coming year?

Subscription Fee Updates

Starting May 1, 2018, the yearly fee for a Basic Store subscription will change from $19.95/month to $21.95/month. The monthly fee for a Basic Store subscription will change from $24.95/month to $27.95/month

I would assume that since it's before 1 May you would renew at the $19.95 rate

I "believe" @crimsonluna you won't be charged the new monthly rate on your subscription until May 1 as that's when the new store option/fee structure goes into effect.

In that case, you'd pay the old rate until May, and then from then on, the new rate would be in effect. But, I'm sure if I'm wrong, someone will be along shortly to correct me. 😉

Trinton@ebay.com, can you confirm the info in the notification from eBay crimsonluna received is correct? If not, I thought you'd like to be aware of the error/discrepancy.

There were many, many glitches on eBay yesterday and I bet your store discounted price was one of them. Some sellers found themselves subscribed to ALL THREE levels of store subscriptions, others were being charged for insertions that should have been free or even just for revising a listing, etc.

As noted in the other post, the new rate ($21.95) goes into effect on May 1. eBay has mentioned (very quietly) that from May 1 - 31, they will not charge early termination fees when sellers downgrade or cancel their Store subscriptions.

Hi @tiramisu41 and @crimsonluna! There is a known issue with the pricing stated in the Store renewal confirmation emails. To clarify, the pricing information on this help page is accurate and reflects the cost that will be billed monthly for subscriptions.
