I sold this necklace https://ebay.us/m/wkE0Ba and this necklace is what the buyer is returning saying it didn't match description!! Ebay automatically sent him a refund. It is obviously not what i sold him. There doesn't seem to be any recourse for me to dispute this. How could I lose my necklace and the $88+ and not have any recourse?? Please help this is an obvious bait and switch and he gets away with it. I"m a respectable seller and don't sell this kind of garbage. I'm really upset that he gets away with this. Any help would be appreciated

No recourse just happen to me, buyer bought a brand new luggage rack send me back a old used one. Ebay said they would have no idea what he returned so they just auto refund them. It's way easier to make money being a scammer on ebay because ebay has a well known scammer protection money back guarantee for them and not sellers.

Item was not as described. It's unfortunate that the buyer did whatever with the item to determine this. But that doesn't change the fact INAD.
If I buy a complete and running engine for $1000.
it's MY complete and running engine when I receive it to do with as I please.
I paid $1000 for it because I know it's worth $4500 in pieces.
So I start taking it apart and discover it's NOT a running engine due to massive internal damage.
Thus making the complete engine not worth $1000. Nor the individual parts worth $1000 either.
I will be returning it...Not As Described

Of course! But you mean the whole thing, not just the block minus parts, right?

I can't imagine the rhodium plating salvaged from this necklace would amount to much. It's a dipped coating designed to protect and enhance the shine of silver.

The amusing part of this thread is that the seller/OP actually did the Bait and Switch.
