How nice that a customer is pulling a bait and switch on me and ebay is supporting his return and full refund!!!!!!!!!
I am now waiting to receive his MORE DAMAGED ITEM and I am out the money!!!!!!!!!!
Bad instances like these make selling on ebay a bad wrap. Second bad apple in almost 2 years and over 300 sales but the taste in my mouth is bad and I am thinking of quitting!

If you haven't even received the return back, how do you know it's swapped?

Sometimes returns are a tough read. I've had some where I was sure I was going to get a box of rocks back, but turned out to be the original item. Buyers who just want to avoid return shipping fees will say anything.
Unless there is some specific reason why you think fraud is definite?
But it's scary sometimes though, I know. I had one who I sent gold too and the buyer claimed it was plastic. Never heard from them again after I called them out on the bogus claim and return case.

That's not "bait and switch" that's more like "the ole switcheroo".

You encountered 2 bad buyers out of 300 transactions over 2 years and you want to quit over it. Those odds are not bad at all. There are sellers out there who would gladly change places with you. Sometimes selling online requires a tough skin, but don't overlook the 298 that went well.
Write the losses off as the cost of doing business here. Sadly, shrinkage is a fact of retail life and needs to be planned for. But like the other poster said, it may be premature to accuse the buyer of fraud when the item hasn't been returned and examined yet.

How do you know you are dealing with a buyer that is going to try and take advantage of you in the return system? If you don't have the item back are you just assuming this to be true because you don't believe the item you sent them an item that is now broke or defective?
You may be putting the cart before the horse here.
As to quitting selling just because you have a 0.067% return rate, I'd say that is a complete over reaction. Unless you are just tired of selling and looking for a reason to justify quitting. Your decision of course and you have every right to make that decision on whatever works best for you. I'm just saying that this should not be putting you over the edge. Especially since you are just assuming they are doing something underhanded and you haven't even received the item back yet.

You have put a lot of work into those listings. Tough to quit. Hang in there. I just bought one of your Green Radar hats. --- Best to you this day
