For the past three months I have been selling lots of items from an Estate Sale on eBay - it was my first choice as it gets these collectible pens to a large market.
Three weeks ago, prior to being relisted 8 times (and what genius decided to make that number up) my items all have to be manually relisted with my store sub DAILY.
This is beyond ludicrous as each day, five to twenty or more items have to be manually relisted. This causes issues if one gets missed and worse, some get listed twice if I am not paying careful attention and have to step away from the process.
With the interface being one of the most frustrating UI experiences I have experienced (IT guy for 35 years), I am now waiting for some "programming team" at eBay to figure out why I cannot relist automatically no matter which of the many screens that can be used to supposedly do this I use.
I have stopped relisting and am seeking other platforms that are easier to manage for sales - I like the auction format that I have used since 2002 but not being able to autorelist on this site is a deal breaker.
I don't care if eBay decides to charge us after the 8th relist at let's say .20 cents for 8 more weeks - they already take a huge percentage from sales - but make it work.
This inability to autorelist or even have the ability to decode to is unacceptable with this many listings - I can only imagine the frustration of those with THOUSANDS of listings.
Get 'er done Ebay.

If you have to relist that many, why not just list as a fixed price and be done with it?

250,000+ search results for pen
8,100 Auctions
3.24% Auctions
Since you started selling in year 2002, most sellers have abandoned the auction format in favor of the Fixed-Price, Buy-It-Now format. Some sellers add the Best-Offer option for the buyer.
Instead of Relist, try Sell Similar and see if that will restart the eight listing cycle.

The vast majority of your auctions end with one bidder.
IMHO after the first auction fails to attract a bid, there is no sense in running another auction.
Switch to fixed price and save yourself most of the aggravation.

Thanks, Tried that and it does not work. So did eBay support.

They sure don't sell at a fixed price, but people love bidding on fountain pens.

It appears you are starting your auctions at prices you would be content to sell. If so, I agree with other posters I'd go with buy it now. Its got to be special/rare and in demand to go with an auction in my opinion. Good luck.

In the pricing section of the listing form click edit all options.
Choose auction.
Top left corner of the pane click the three horizontal lines.
Turn on auto relist and click done.
Can this be done using a bulk edit? I have no idea as I don't do auctions.

Basically if something doesn't sell after eight auctions, the chances of it selling at auction are very low.
Especially if those eight auctions all happened within three months.
The same customers are seeing them over and over.
Further, there is a reason why over 85% of transactions on eBay are Fixed Price. Neither buyers nor sellers like auctions.
And even those few auction listings usually include either Buy It Now or Best Offer, either of which ends the auction.
Buyers avoid them because they have to wait some seven days to learn that a last second snipe scooped up their bargain. Today's consumer wants Immediate Gratification.
Seller because Auctions have more Unpaid Items than the more popular Fixed Price.
I'd suggest not listing those unsold Auctions for a full month.
Then list at Fixed Price, a little higher than you want to get.
Add Best Offer with parameters setting an Acceptable BO which you will see when someone buys.
And an unacceptable price which will give the customer a polite form rejection. The customer still has nine more Best Offers if he is determined.
Those two prices can be a penny apart if you want. You will only have to deal with Offers between the Acceptable and Not Acceptable parameters.
The reason for waiting a month is that there is a pretty good chance that the renewed FP listings will be seen by a new group of customers who haven't seen the tired auctions.

"This is beyond ludicrous as each day, five to twenty or more items have to be manually relisted."
Manually? It's not like each is a fifty-pound boulder you have to lift. How long does that take? Tops 10 minutes. Sitting inside in a comfortable chair no less... Value of pens is in the thousands. You do understand the nature of working to get paid?
"I can only imagine the frustration of those with THOUSANDS of listings."
They sell with the Fixed Price option. Auctions went out with dial-up.

"This is beyond ludicrous as each day, five to twenty or more items have to be manually relisted." Why? What is causing this issue?
Ebay only has two kinds of listings Auctions or GTC [good till cancelled or sold out], GTC is also known as fixed price listings. There are variations on these listings, things you can add to them, but they are the only two types of listings.
It appears you run Auctions. So yes those run for a limited time. If they don't sell, you will need to relist them. If you don't want to do that, then enter them as a GTC listing and they will run until they are sold out. Just remember they aren't auctions, so the price you put on the listing will be the price you sell the item for if purchased.

In looking at your sold items, it appears that the majority of your Pen auctions end with one bid. But yes you do have some with multiple bids, but most are one bid. So Fixed price should work pretty good for you.

Is this on the new listing tool?

Yes, it's on the new unified form that all sellers will eventually be using.
It was automatic on the quick listing form. Auctions were automatically relisted even if the seller didn't want them to be. A seller had to physically end the auction, then switch to the old advanced form to keep it from automatically relisting.
It was never an option on the old advanced form, AKA business tool.

If you've relisted these fountain pens 8 times, that tells me that people don't love bidding on fountain pens all that much.
