For Premium and above store subscribers.
Under Automation Preferences there is a section for "listings automation schedule" and you can set a start and end date to "suspend my items from being automatically listed and relisted".
Does this setting impact GTC listings? I never used it and couldn't find much information about how it works.
I am wondering if I can use it during periods when GTC listings are renewed twice in the same month to suspend the GTC listings from renewing until the next month begins... unless eBay makes the much needed change to a 31 day GTC listing cycle.

It does present some questions and I got my hopes up until I researched it further. I found an old Selling Manager Pro manual from November 2011 that had some information. See pages 56-59

Based on what it says I don't think this feature applies to GTC listings. It looks like the automation rules were a relevant feature before GTC (and vacation settings) existed. I'm not sure if the automated scheduled listings are an out of date feature entirely at this point? The automation rules page possibly needs to be updated to remove the suspend scheduled listings section?
With all that being said, I think it would be great if a feature like this could be applied to GTC listings. Maybe @Anonymous can weigh in with more information.

Since I don't have a store, this is unfamiliar to me, but I await further info from "those in the know". Very intriguing.

A GTC rollover is not a relist.

I did just now go and look and it does sound like it will work to me? But you have to understand it applies to all your active listings. There is no way to choose which ones you want this automated setting to work for?
I think if you could bring this up at the weekly chat this afternoon it would be a very good question?

I agree. My feeling was that it also was outdated and or would be removed when the change from FP to GTC happens.

Hi @Anonymous & @beardedbovine. Automation preferences will determine the way automation rules function. @Anonymous is correct that automation rules are not intended for and will not work with Good 'Til Cancelled listings, so the automation preferences will not have any effect on GTC listings.

Yes it is! If you don't have "free listings available, you will be charged a 30 cent listing fee.
I think what poster Nobody meant was that it wasn't a relisted listing. And that is true. Sometimes the terminology on Ebay is important to understand as there are distinctions between the words.
GTC listings RENEW.
A Relist happens from a closed listing and has it's own particulars to what it means.
A Sell Similar happens from a closed listing ans has it's own particulars to what it means.
Each word on Ebay has it's own specific meaning and I think that was all they were trying to tell you.
