Automatic Markdown

Many of us who have hundreds of items listed. Every once in a while have to go thru all of them to adjust pricing if they are not selling. Ebay should come up with a auto mark down. When you list an item you can make perimeters ex.

If the item does not sell within a certain time frame it will auto markdown lets say $5. Maybe you could make it so you could mark down 5 times. you set the time frame. 1month 2 months ormore and it will auto mark down each of these times the amount you set. This way sellers will make more sales without having to go thru them all to manual change the price.

@tvr-inc

You have a store.

Why are you manually adjusting prices?

Use Promotions Manager to do your markdowns.

Or use File Exchange to change pricing without markdowns.

Re: Automatic Markdown

Because the mark down format in stores is now barely functioning.

Works for me .... "barely functioning" is harsh ... The only thing that has changed is the wait period for newly listed or recently repriced items.

Waiting 14 days to markdown a newly listed item is no big deal.

The OP is looking to markdown older inventory ... I doubt that the 14 day wait would bother them either.

Re: Automatic Markdown

Thanks for the ideas. I was just thinking it would be a cool idea if they could set this up. Auto markdowns we could setup. List a $100 item. Set first mark down for 2 months. Then is marksdown the amout you set like $10. Then set another time period like 3 months. Then set auto markdown another $10 or so. I am sure there are lots of sellers who dont sell items and dont take the time to mark them down. They jsut let them run. This way ebay would also get more sales.
