Authenticity Guarantee Needs To End!

I've been a seller on Ebay for about 5 years now on and off. Sold alot of shoes and have great reviews, never been flagged for a fake since Authenticity Guarantee began.

I accidentally mixed an order up one time so the shoes were sent back from the hub obviously. Ever since then every shoe I send there gets sent back. Shoes all came from different places so it's not like I happened to get a bad batch. Now I'm hit with a 3 day ban and next time, (which there probably will be because most of these authenticators are completely incompetent) It'll be 7 days. Ebay just keeps screwing over the people that make the company successful.

You probably want to op out of it since you are getting banned over it.

If you didn't know if you set item specific customized = Yes then you will ship directly to the customer.

Sorry for your situation.  These days you just never know.  The market is so oversaturated with fakes it's unreal.  You can opt out of the authenticity program and just send them directly to the customer yourself.  The authentication centers on this platform appear to have many short comings and even more complaints.  My guess is the eBay just hires random people who read from a list of what look for concerning authentication & most have no idea what they're doing.  Minimum wage and a disappointing outcome.

Happy Selling

Yes it is annoying and here is a list that makes them NOT covered under the Authenticity program.

  • The following items are not eligible for Authenticity Guarantee:
    • Miscategorized items, e.g. other types of shoes listed in eligible categories.
    • Modified or customized sneakers
    • Signed sneakers
    • Items purchased using an offline payment method
    • Listings that offer local pickup
    • Items shipped from unincorporated territories (incl. Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, North Mariana Islands, American Samoa and Palau)
    • Items exceeding $2,500 shipping to Australia
  • Ineligible items will not be authenticated.

Really doesn't matter because eventually you will be permanently banned for having this on your listings, directing ebay buyers to go 'elsewhere'.

Sellers cannot opt out if their items are part of the program.

In other words, the only way to "opt out" would be to not sell the brands/items.

And @b1gbo1k1cks , referring your customers to your "I G" is clearly a circumvention of ebay and a violation.

My posts tells you how to sell the brands without the program.

So you are wrong.

Many sellers know they can turn off the program with that item specific and set it regardless if it hasn't been customized.

Are you getting them sent back because they are saying that they aren't authentic or because they don't match the listing in some way?

When you click on a sold listing listing eBay often sends you to another listing by another seller. I think that is where @stainlessenginecovers saw the reference to IG.  I think that they thought it was on your listing but it was on another seller's listing.

@stainlessenginecovers

Where do you see that language?

I looked at most of his @b1gbo1k1cks listings and do not see that.

Pretty sure @pjcdn2005 explained it.

I see board users make accusations against other members all the time becsuse when they investigate and check their sold listing. They don't realize eBay slipped in someone else's listing. You have to click on the 'see original listing' to bring up the actual listing or you are reviewing a completely different seller.

It keeps saying they can't be authenticated.  I took down most of my listing's for the time being until I figure out either another place to sell or come to some sort of resolution here. I like Ebay so I really don't wanna leave. And yeah I never advertise elsewhere Ebay was my go-to
