At one time, years ago, I was part of an auction that was 'invite only' or private.
Basically it was a fundraiser for an organization, and they only wanted people involved in the organization to see, bid and be part of the auction. I believe a special url was needed to access the auction - and once in, you could see what items where up for sale. To list something, you had to contact the organizer and they would list your item for you. It only ran for like two weeks.
I was interested in organizing a fundraising auction like this, but can't seem to find information on it. Only publicly accessible auctions.
This was years ago, so maybe it was something that could be done, but not anymore?
