Many of your purchases are fixed price (Buy It Now). To decrease the number of non-payers, select the Immediate Payment Required option. That way, the listing stays available until you are actually paid.
For your non-payers, you can file an Unpaid Item Dispute after 48 hours have gone by. The buyer then gets 96 hours to pay. If no payment, you close the dispute. The buyer gets a strike and you get your FVF credited. Make sure your buyer requirements are set to block buyers with 2 or more UID within 12 months.
The majority of my buyers pay immediately, and I don't use IPR. I'm a patient seller. As long as there is contact, I'll wait as long as you need in order to pay me.

This has been the worst year ever for non-paying so called buyers. Add to that the paying...then cancelling purchases causing all kinds of problems with refunds, fees, deductible taxes....and you have a *bleeping* time consuming and costly nightmare.
Thank you e-bay!

Anyone having an onslaught of non payers?
No.

99% + of our listings are IPR
non-payers are virtually nonexistent

Are you on eBay Managed payments? If yes, this would be the problem. Try to contact buyers.
Are they international buyers and you're on a managed payments? This is maybe why.
Regardless, try to contact buyers.
I have huge increase of non-payers since moved to eBay managed payments. At first, it was international, today I have an experienced US buyer who have problem to pay.

I don't see how do they get a strike? I have searched their feedback and see nothing that shows they are non paying? Why can't I leave negative feedback for non paying?

Nope. I use fixed price listings with IPR. My buyers have been good to me this month.

Unpaid item strikes are not visible to eBay users. Negative feedback for buyers has been taken away for many good reasons a long time ago.

I've had two in the last 3 weeks and another last summer. I only sell a few items a month so this is a LOT. The latest one made an offer on an item , I accepted his offer (below listed price) the same day, and after 2 days still has not paid or answered communications. Ebay needs to step up policy on this as it is becoming epidemic from what others are saying. If you bid or offer to buy, and don't gain release for the purchase by the buyer, you should be banned. Not that it matters since they can simply create another user account.

Yes,
For some reason, just in the past few days I've had 2 people change their mind and cancel after making a best offer...very unusual.
