Anybody else having Notification problems with eBay not comming through??

For the last several days Notices have stopped coming through from eBay. Checked and verified our email address and still nothing. Has this been a problem with anyone else??

I have notifications setup for messages, sold items, and saved searches. All are coming in immediately.

Notices can be unreliable. It's best practice to log into your account and check things at least daily.

The problem may not be Ebay. It can be your mail server. From simple problems like filtering your Ebay messages to a spam folder to more serious compatibility issues.

Yes, I am now receiving NO notifications from eBay all week. What happened?

Yep, has been that way on and off the past few months. I have to check on my computer to make sure.

IMHO it's a mistake to depend on email for notices - in my experience, the platform doesn't matter. Just check your account rather than something that has to jump through a few hoops and a handshake.

Funny how I always get the messages that someone is LIVE every hour or so, and that never stops. 

Wish I could stop it, because it is annoying to me and I will never go to anybodies LIVE anyway.

This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused processing delays.

That would be ok for someone that sells on daily or weekly basis, but some people sell one item or 2 every 6 months, eBay needs to send emails, they stopped for me over 9 months ago and I didn't change anything, I checked my settings on eBay and my email provider, no emails of sold items, just customer questions.

What type of notices are you missing?  Ebay sends all kind of notices, so would you mind being more specific?

None of the eBay notices were coming through tha last couple of weeks and then all of a sudden today they started rolling in again. Nothing was changed on our end so it had to be eBay.

How do you know it wasn't YOUR email server / ISP?

Messages sent over the internet pass through many different service providers on the way to you. Any issue along the way can cause messages to be delayed or vanish.

The first thing we did was contact our ISP and they checked to see if anything was being blocked. But nothing on there end. They could see all the messages up to one point and then they stopped. They suggested waiting and see for a bit which we did, and like I said, poof they started coming back in today.
