What is the correct course of action in this situation?

I have a buyer whom gave eBay an incorrect address, and is now demanding their money back. Has showed USPS has tried to deliver to address given but it does not exist as shown.

Reported them to eBay but not sure other then that what to do.

Said since no proof of delivery was given. Well, duh the address do not exist!

Did you use a tracked service?

Did you put the tracking number into the Claim yourself, or trust eBay to do it?

Does the tracking show that the shipment was Undeliverable?
Does the tracking show that the shipment is on its way back to you?

When the buyer gives an Undeliverable address, eBay does not require the seller to refund anything at all.

Tell the buyer to open a Dispute.

Give the tracking which shows the Undeliverable address.

Do NOT expect eBay to know this. Do it yourself.

You will win.

The buyer will not be able to leave feedback.

While eBay does not use FB to assess member accounts, it is used by your future customers and you don't want this particular problem raised.

If the buyer is being rational and polite, when you get the item back, you can refund their payment less your costs, such as shipping, fees, packaging, etc.

Unfortunately it appear that the buyer may have indeed opened a chargeback and the OP did not respond but in reality even if they had responded the tracking they would have provided would not show delivery. The CC company is by all means going to rule in favor of the cardholder. They care NOTHING about eBay's policies or the logistics of the situation. The cardholder ordered something and they did not receive it within a reasonable timeframe.

I am really **bleep** at eBay right now. They gave full refund to buyer despite telling ME that it was noted and they would rule against buyer. Even made ME pay all fees associated with the shipment.

Said since no proof of delivery was given. Well, duh the address do not exist!

It is my birthday and really angry right now that this is ruining it!

Already put all listings on hold and will end them all done with eBay!

After reading through all the responses I am a bit confused. Did the buyer open an eBay case or a CC chargeback? Regardless of which it was did you respond to the case/chargeback? Since the package was not deliverable why didn't you just cancel the order using problem with the buyers address?
