Another GTC question...

Hi all... Now with Good till cancelled being the only 'option' for fixed price listings, I'm just wondering if sellers can put a 'disclaimer' (for lack of a better word) on listings that says something like 'we reserve the right to cancel listing at any time'... or is this against ebay 'law'? Thanks!

Re: Another GTC question...

GTC isn't new. Millions of GTC items have been sold without a disclaimer. It's unnecessary, and likely counter-productive. Your item could sell at any time, and buyers know that. And selling at any time is , from a buyer's point of view, the same as cancelling at any time....either way, the item becomes unavailable.

Re: Another GTC question...

I'm not sure why you'd do that. As a buyer, that statement would mean absolutely nothing to me. If anything, I would shy away from any seller who made statements like that in their item listings.

As a seller, you already have a right to cancel the listing at any time. If the point of the statement is to take a swipe at eBay, I'd suggest they probably aren't going to take a look at your listing, so you've sort of missed your target.
