is anyone else repulsed by the people selling here on eBay that relist amazon items at a markup and have amazon ship the item to buyers? I recently ordered an item on eBay that arrived from Amazon. curious I checked amazon and realized I paid $26 more than amazon was asking. In my opinion these sellers are lazy and do nothing to uphold or improve eBay's reputation. I'm a seller and I work hard to source items that I can sell at a fair price and make a fair profit.

Many sellers on eBay use Amazon Fulfilment which is not against the policy of either eBay or Amazon.
Always do your due diligence price wise when on line shopping, that is the benefit of online after all - we can compare prices withouut walking all over town.

$26 more is a lot - Amazon likely has it with Free shipping though, correct? So the $26 more, does that include a shipping cost?
E-Bay frowns on this activity, but does not seem to do much about it.

I always get a bit annoyed when I find out I paid too much for something....this week it was Strawberries, I bought some that were "on sale" at my first grocery stop and then at the second stop they had an unadvertised special that was even lower (and the strawberries were better).
On the other hand, both those stores were cheaper than store #3 and I like strawberries.
If you are going to be "repulsed" (kind of harsh?) look in the mirror! And remember, no matter how good a deal you get there is always a way to pay less (like the person you bought from did).

I would argue that the one who is lazy is the buyer who doesn't shop for the best price BEFORE hitting "Buy."

Unlikely in this case. But as mentioned. There is a chance they store their stuff with Amazon for fulfillment. There is now supposedly an option to not use Amazon boxes though.
Another common one is Home Depot. Wife had one of those through a Walmart order and I had one here. Looked into that one. Surprisingly Home Depot has free shipping for a lot of low dollar stuff. Kind of wonder if they have their own people at the local stores that do deliveries. Because I can't really see Home Depot making any money with a $3 or $4 sale with free shipping. Then again, could just be some awesome rate. Sam's Club uses FedEx and there have been more of a few things I've had delivered I can't see them making any money on after shipping.
If it bothers you enough, you can always try returning it. But can also just take it as less learned to shop around a little.

People who belch at the dinner table.
People who open their car door and spit.
Amazon drop shoppers... I am not repulsed.

As long as I get what is listed and at the price I paid, I'm happy.
In fact, before buying, I do price Amazon, ebay and other sites and compare apples to apples. Then I buy what I think is the best deal.
Just the other day, I shopped Amazon but found and purchased from ebay because the price on ebay was better than I'd pay on Amazon, yet when the item was delivered, it came in an Amazon Prime van!

Did you check Amazon before you purchased?

Nope, I do not blame the ebay seller being lazy. Actually you should thank them for taking the time and listing it here and making it easy for you to find because you didn't want to waste time shopping around.
Doesn't matter where you shop, you are always going to find that widget someplace else cheaper or more expensive at another store. You just need to decide when to pull the plug and just buy it at a price you are comfortable with, like you did. should be no reason to get upset. You source stuff so you could resell it for more, they are doing the same thing, just in a different format.
I bet you will look at amazon next time to see if they are cheaper. I rarely buy at amazon because I found another source that is cheaper than them but my sister next door loves them and think they are cheaper. The prime van is there every week. we buy different things though and what I mainly buy is more there but her stuff is cheaper or at least a price they like.
Is strange though, she lives next door and has them there weekly but the few times I order they cannot find me and usually put my order down the street by this gravel driveway that actually goes to an old gravel pit. Doesn't make sense. .
I get to play 20 questions when I list my bigger items on CL. because they want to know how I can afford to sell it less than Walmart does when it actually does come from them. They all seem to think I get it out the back door but that isn't true. I buy out of season and hold it to the right season and make pallet deals with my ex store managers to move the items quickly. They like me and trying to hire me back so I think that helps too.
Anyways back on topic, Just like you at first those 20 question buyers bothered me but you just got to shrug it off and don't let it bother you like I did. There are bigger problems out there to get worked up about instead that could use our time.
HAPPY EBAYING

Are you asking me?
Yes, I shopped Amazon, found a better price for the same item on ebay and bought it here. Yet it was delivered by and came from Amazon.
I don't know how the seller can afford to sell on ebay cheaper than it is on Amazon!

That's what happens when you buy commodities here that you can get anywhere. I understand the distaste for shopping on Amazon, a lot of people have it, but it has to be balanced against what kind of price you'll pay.
If the seller used fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) and has eBay as just another sales channel, that's legal. The use of prime and 'gift' receipt is not.

I hate it! And especially Prime and that annoying 'gift' paper. If I wanted something from A I would shop there. Same thing with Wal*Mart or Sam's Club, I've gotten those too. P O's me no end but how do you tell in advance if someone is drop shipping?

Funny you should mention strawberries. The Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL runs all this week through Sunday. It's a berry good time.
