Hey there,
So I have a physical card that has a steam key (game code) on it that is unopened/not scratched off. What is the safest way of selling this without the buyer trying to scam me by recieving the product, using the code and issuing a refund?
*The item I have looks like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oculus-Marvel-Powers-United-VR-Digital-Code/192711691573?_trkparms=aid%3D11...

Hi! Ok first off, the seller you reference in the link above is violating several policies. So don’t use his listing as a guideline for your item.
You have a physical card and will need to mail it to the buyer after purchase, NOT sending just the code, such as thru email. There are two related policies you may want to bone up on, the Digitally Delivered Goods policy and Gift Card policy. Links below. They will outline the rules you need to follow when listing your item. Gaming items are allowed, just be sure yours is among those.

Please make note that there are unavoidable risks to selling online, and no foolproof methods of protection for all cases. If someone wants your item badly enough, there is no way to fully guard against them taking it. The best you can do is to carefully follow the rules and show yourself to be not an easy mark. Good luck to you. If you have further questions after reading the policies, come back for more information.

Generally speaking, there is no safe way to sell anything on eBay. Any buyer can steal any item from any seller at any time by using a fraudulent SNAD claim.
