You might want to reach out to customer service.  See what they have to say:

eBay doesn't allow you to add your husband or anyone else to your account.
If you can't accomplish what you want to do without adding adding your
husband to your account you can have you husband create his own account
and do this.

I just tried this morning to add my adult son who doesn't live with me to my account, and he keeps getting an error message when he tries to confirm.  This must be a glitch. (Surprise, surprise.) If you find a work around, please let us know. Thanks and good luck. Sue

I believe the only way to do it is to Incorporate legally. Then she or anyone else can be a part of the corporation.

Your wife does not need to be added to your account to help you sell. You can have a monkey help you sell without adding it to your account. Just give her your password and tell her to get busy.

It's really interesting how some people think this is the husband trying to add his wife to his account, and some think it's the wife trying to add her husband to her account.  Or you might just say, visa versa.

Or a woman adding her wife, guy adding husband.

Regardless of the combination, I agree with the above advice to just give them your password.

What exactly would be her function? Is it to do some of the computer work when you're busy doing other stuff? Or to add a skill that you might be low on? In that case, how exactly would eBay know who was on the computer?

In other words - what exactly is the point of "adding" her. Just plunk her down and let her type. eBay will never know who is typing.

Or did I miss something?

We had employees running one of our accounts before we retired.

We just gave them the password and some basic instructions.

When an employee left (some were summer students) we just changed the password again.

With Managed Payments we can only attach one bank account to an MP or eBay account, so there is no worry about embezzlement, as there could be with Paypal which allowed a PP account to feed multiple bank accounts.

THAT explains all those "bought in error" requests.
