Is there ANY plan to fix this whole trainwreck?

I am trying SO HARD to add these specifics, yet it's borderline impossible when every other item I "update" does not reflect those updates. It's always something and it's getting on my last nerve. 90% of my 320+ listings that "need item specifics" do not even need them.

Why does every single item need a "character" or any number of other specifics that have nothing to do with them? All this whole debacle is doing is making unneeded work for us and serves no purpose other than to annoy us.

My sales have tanked this last week and i have to wonder if eBay is somehow "punishing" me for not having all of the "suggested" specifics.

At this point, I am pretty sure I speak for a lot of us sellers when I say CAN WE NOT? Just let us list our items and let us sell them without badgering us constantly about the most useless things possible.

THIS mess seems to be the one that is sending lots of Big sellers over the edge.

I have seen so many youtube videos of sellers just going off about the recommendations fiasco.

A lot of them are either not going to do it or start transferring items to other sites.

For the Cheerleaders that say Good Leave Dont let the door hit you. How about you just BLOW OFF!

Stop posting your cheering nonsense especially in posts in which you bring nothing to the table.

ebay has blown it big time on this. Do not tell us how great ebay is & we just better shape up & like it.............UM HELL NO!

When sellers that worship ebay are some of the ones ripping them one over this that should tell you everything!

Tryed to add item specifics to all listings about 8 times. One at a time in the non working seller hubb, fact. For the last 6 months have placed many tickets with customer service.. They never update and the glitch is known by ebay. So the effected sellers like us pay full price to have a non working set of listings clearly unseen or at disadvantage of china sellers and yes, Ebay customer service agents with stores. It seems all of the people working for Ebay with stores have no glitches and working stores and seller hubbs? It seems the inside information and work arounds they share at work give them an unfair advantage. So for about a year at least any of us meaning the others sellers here effected are buying a pizza with all the toppings and Ebay delivers the burnt crust with sauce version to us. Had to reach out after feeling ver taken advantage of by Ebay and hope to see how many other long term and new sellers are effected here. I feel very bad for the families effected by this total lack of respect from Ebay.

Have actually be intimidated and afraid to post here but its time to be brave and post a reality check here for ebay to respond to in a public fashion. These are facts and clearly we are not alone.

Listing Stephen King paperback books, i have to state the "width". Allows me 1". I am not selling miniature pb books (lol). It seems to me if you just add anything to get the item specifics satisfied, you leave yourself wide open for the "not as described" buyer complaint. Yikes.

Agree with you. Absolutely hate this feature. It is pointless and a HUGE time waster. It should be optional, not forced on us.

Hi i have a store on eBay and item specifics is a mess from the day i connect with eBaymag!

Comes to Different languages also and the funny thing is that when i put all the item specifics after some days come again the same items that need again!

For some how the system doesn't back up them.

To my US site everything is perfect!

I spend so many hours and every time item specifics appear more and more up to my items.

I fed up with this.

Since Ebay started ''recommended item specifics' I have had several problems with valid selling listings disappearing and then reappearing when I have relisted ! There is no need to divide listing using this as a parameter and it is total arrogance that Ebay asserts its view in this way. We are selling our items and we know how much and what type of information is needed. There is nothing worse for a buyer than trawling through reams of information that is not needed ! Get a grip please, you are turning a fun, interesting and useful experience into a pain !
