Same issue here, all my variation listings are coming up with recommendations to update the items specifics to include the actual variation. This is ludacris on so many levels because anyone who has ever accidentally updated their listing to include the variation as an item specific knows it turns the entire listing into a train wreck.
Fairly simple fix tho, just click on "Add Item Specific" next to the item title in the active listings view and when the window pops up, just click the box next to "Do not recommend this again", then save and exit. That made mine stop.
