Ad removed - Posting Violation

I posted an ad for a threaded barrel for a handgun. I was truly unaware that a threaded barrel was not allowed and I was truly amazed by the reason. While eBay sells pistol parts like slides, barrels, trigger assemblies, etc.  A threaded barrel does not constitute that a pistol is an assault weapon. That is ludicrous!  A handgun is a weapon no matter what. By being able to put a suppressor onto a handgun still makes it a weapon, but might reduce the sound decibel a little. By no means, does a suppressor make a handgun an assault weapon. If that were the case, then a knife should be considered an assault weapon. Think about that. eBay is taking things too far. Please use common sense.

Re: Ad removed - Posting Violation

I've been selling gun parts for several years here on ebay. Until about a few months ago, I never had any issue selling a revolver barrel. The rules state that you can't sell a semi-automatic threaded pistol barrel that's threaded for a suppressor which is really frickin stupid and not illegal in any state but hey it's their platform so I play by their rules. Well I've had two revolver barrels removed and my account restricted because a revolver barrel is threaded at the rear because it's has to screw into the frame/receiver. The end of it is not threaded but try explaining that to rude and untrained customer service reps in the Philippines. I play by their rules and have no recourse when ebay is wrong and I'm pretty sick of it. Zero help at all the last 4 phone calls with customer service. I'm a power seller and pay thousands a year to ebay in fees and get treated like garbage.

Re: Ad removed - Posting Violation

I respectfully disagree. I am not confused at all and you are most certainly not informed. You speak as if I am the only one in the world that wants this by speaking for “everyone” else. If you are afraid of this sort of thing coming in contact with you some how, then may I suggest that you stay in doors so that you will always be safe. I was not trying to get away with anything by listing the barrel. It will not happen again as I will list it elsewhere where it is not prohibited. My whole point, if you were to read through this all, is that pistols are not classified as an assault weapon if they happen to have a threaded barrel.  Enough said.

I am right there with you. eBay has already made up their mind to a very extreme agenda. I too am sick of it. People can be just way over the top and not use common sense just like with your revolver barrels. Frustrating for sure

Re: Ad removed - Posting Violation

I see you are still confused. Ebay does not want that on their site. And, NO, it does not turn it into an automatic gun. It is used to murder without being caught though, and illegal in many states.

Re: Ad removed - Posting Violation

I never said that it turns any weapon into an automatic weapon. You think that suppressors are quiet where no one can hear it go off??  Hollywood movie quiet suppressors are a myth. Guns don’t kill people. People kill people. And they do it not only with guns. Shocker I am sure. But this does happen more than guns. Stop watching the media and find it out for yourself. Start with the FBI forensic data and go from there.
