Hello, this is the second time I’ve made a post asking for help with my eBay account. The issue is still ongoing and I am not getting the help I require from eBay, no matter how many times I call them, and how many tickets for the IT team they make.
My ebay account has a disconnect between it and external search such as Google. The problem is as follows- after an item of mine has been listed for 30 days on eBay, and I manually end the item and re list it ( whether I use the re list feature or the sell similar feature) my items do not update to external search. On Google they show as ended, not available or out of stock, even though they are available items for sale. They still show as available through the EBay website and app. But, on Google they show that they are no longer for sale. I have searched my own available items on Google and it’s heartbreaking to see my available items showing as not available for purchase. Needless to say, it’s ruining my business, sales have plummeted. It’s been going on since June. If anyone out there in the IT dept, or the Marketing tech dept can please help me, as I am simply not getting the help I need. At this point I am considering creating a new eBay account- but I don’t want to lose my customer base and my 100% positive feedback history on this account, and start over from scratch.

They aren’t even showing the correct info. When buyers see the listings without clicking on them whether through Google or on the applications while they are scrolling, multi size listings with variations will show buyers that only one random, particular size is for sale rather than multiple sizes.
Because eBay decided to have a “size” in multi size variations outside of the size selections in the drop down menu inside the items menu.
If you scroll through clothing and shoes you’ll see what a mess that creates. If I’m selling or even looking for a particular size, it will display a size value that may not be the one I’m looking for when there could be multiple different sizes available.

2 pictures of an active listing of mine as it shows on Google.

This has been happening to my store also. In fact, it's happened to items that I didn't even manually end and relist. It is definitely ruining my business and I'm almost to the point of stepping out of this. I've contacted eBay regarding this and got the same run around as you. It's beyond heartbreaking.

The OP's issue is because they're ending listings and external search engines.
But you're saying you're not ending listings but seeing them as out of stock on external search engines @entourdanse? Can you provide some examples?

Thank YOU for bringing this to our attention!!! I just did a Google search of a pretty much one-of-a-kind item I have listed and it's showing up as "no longer available". I had recently ended the listing and relisted as sell similar. These glitches are getting BEYOND frustrating!!! There are just WAY too many of them now and NOTHING is getting done about them.

You are getting glitches because you are trying to game system. I don’t think that eBay should consider such cases as critical when they decide where to put their IT dollars.

Ebay has nothing to do with your google searches.

Absolutely I can provide. I’ve had items that I just renewed on their own that I didn’t touch/manually end.
Those literally came up in the Google search with it’s ebay link as not available, out of stock, description doesn’t match photo etc..
I can post it in a few as I’m checking all mine right now.

There is an Out of Stock feature for your store. It will still allow Out of Stock items to be carried on your inventory pages so that when you get the item back in stock, you can relist it without creating a new listing.
End the feature and End all of your Out of Stock items that are still on your inventory pages.

So I have a question and it’s an honest question- so if I do a Google search and it shows me an item with a link to eBay.com, and I click on that link and it takes me to eBay/eBay site with item and the item says not available, sold out, or it’s not even the correct item that matches the description, who handles that?
I’m just saying, shoppers are going to see the product on Google be taken to eBay and see it’s not available and that’s it. They will move on to someone else that has a link to a product in stock.
I found out about this from a buyer that notified me on IG. They said that links to eBay from their search of my items were turning up saying product not available etc..

Hello! I’m so sorry you are going through this as well. This is my thread and I didn’t receive any emails from eBay that anyone had replied to it. But I came across this article
https://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/blog/blog.pl?/pl/2022/10/1665062173.html
where the author used my thread for a discussion on the problem. I still have no answers, and have begun listing to a new eBay store in the hope that it will help.
So far, I do see some of my items indexing properly to Google. I guess that is better than nothing.

Well you’re welcome lol. I wish I knew what to do about it!

I’m sorry if I’m not understanding what you’re saying correctly- but none of my items are out of stock. When I manually end and relist an item, which I was doing every 30 days instead of letting eBay manually relist it - a Google search only shows that my item ended and is no longer available. Even though it is.

I’ve been told my someone in the Marketing dept at EBay that they absolutely do. Marketing claims it’s their job to make sure that items index properly.
