Account suspension

Hi everyone

I want to bring attention to a serious issue affecting sellers in Pakistan. Many of us had our eBay accounts suspended due to widespread shipping delays caused by significant problems within the Pakistan Post Office. Despite these issues being beyond our control and the post office service returning to normal, eBay has refused to reinstate our accounts.

Has anyone else experienced this? I feel this is unfair and doesn't consider the extenuating circumstances. Is there a way we can collectively address this with eBay and request a more understanding approach? Let's discuss and find a solution."

 * Has anyone had success appealing a suspension related to postal service delays?

 * What specific documentation or evidence did you provide?

 * Did you contact eBay via phone, chat, or email, and which method was most effective?

 * Are there any specific departments or teams within eBay that handle these appeals?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated."

Update

To further substantiate my claims regarding the Pakistan Post disruption, I have found a news report from Samaa TV, a reputable Pakistani news channel, confirming the issue. You can view the report here: https://www.samaa.tv/2087318799-pakistan-post-halts-parcel-service-to-us."

 * "As you can see from this report, the issues with Pakistan Post were widespread and significantly impacted sellers across the country."

 * "This news report serves as independent verification of the challenges I and other sellers faced during the Pakistan Post disruption

If there were accounts suspended I doubt it had anything to do with shipping delays. Drop shipping would be more like it. You're in Pakistan and your item title says from Pakistan but shipping from Thailand.
Which tells me your account is not suspended since you have a listing posted.

If Pakistan Post service is not working well for you then you need to use an alternative carrier such as DHL (or whatever options are available in Pakistan).

The only thing eBay cares about is that your orders are delivered on a timely basis, if they are not you end up in the situation you are in.

There's no doubt because when I asked ebay the reason they mentioned in the email all the undelivered items, and I'm not drop shipping, my inventory is located in my office in Pakistan, I do ship sometimes from Thailand, but this wasn't mentioned as one of the reasons by eBay Team. Thanks

This is strange, after account suspension i tried listing, I listed one successfully and when tried listing further eBay didn't allow me, this listing is also like an year old. Must be some error in eBay system.

You're not suspended if you have an item listed. There's nothing to reinstate. You're probably restricted. Limited to how many items you can sell and list.

I received email, it said your account is restricted indefinitely, Therefore, you will not be able to sell items domestically as well as internationally.

@gemsbazaar

Often we have sellers here from your country complaining of the same problem.  We cannot know exactly what caused it, but many times it is because the sellers run afoul of the BBE (Bad Buyer Experience) mandates.  They seem to be very strict rules,  that even include bad feedback, DSR ratings, and others that do not affect users in the US.  A good portion of the time it turns out to be excessive INR (Item not received) complaints.   The following link will explain this to you and also provide an additional link to check your INR metrics specifically, but that is only ONE of many.  (I have no idea why eBay included that WALL OF TEXT COUNTRY LIST AND DIDN'T BOTHER TO PUT IT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER, but I think Pakistan is in there someplace):

https://export.ebay.com/en/regulations/ebay-policies/bber/

You also need to review the rules for drop shipping from you country as well if you are living in Pakistan and shipping from Thailand. If your supplier ships slowly, it is YOUR ratings that will suffer.   I have seen many sellers from your country  engage in what appears to be "retail arbitrage". For example,  where the seller will post items from Walmart in the US, purchase them from Walmart when they get a sale, and have Walmart ship them to the customer in the US.  THIS IS NOT ALLOWED on eBay and if you do this, your selling career is going to be "OVER and ended" pretty quickly.

Though the following may not apply to you, it is something to be aware of as well:

My inventory is primarily in Pakistan, but when stones purchased in Thailand sell, my supplier ships from there. An Item Not Received (INR) report was sent to me in email by ebay and told me this is the reason of account suspension, I've sold since 2012, maintaining 99.9% positive feedback, and discussed this shipping practice with eBay Special Agent Paul Josef. I invested a lot in ebay and now I'm experiencing hardship due to the suspension.
