I looked at my last couple orders more closely and can see what I think might be causing the issue from my first question. I wanted to get you this additional info in case it helps with getting this sorted out.

This order shows as domestic. Country/region specified is United States-

Any sale to a territory that appears on eBay as domestic with the territory as the state and the US as the country is fine. Any sale that appears as international with the full spelled out territory as both the state and the country get that big red X on Stamps.com when it goes through their USPS address verification software.


Since the board sign in issues prevented me from getting to the chat in time to ask my shipping questions- I'm reviving this thread for follow up. Thanks to @dhbookds for bringing up the topic today.

It's not just Puerto Rico- it's all US territories. And please see my above posts about the problem created printing labels on Stamps.com when the territory is listed as a separate country.

 

It's more than the exclusions list- it's how the buyer's address is entered on the website. Territories should be under the state not country field- country should be US to avoid these problems. eBay gives buyers a choice to enter the territory as a state or a country and that's the problem.

 

Territories on the exclusions list should be addressed by a separate checkbox just like POs and AK/HI- they shouldn't be under as different countries.
