Ebay has been around since 1995.  I started to sell in 1999 and still sell today.

Back around 1963 or 64 I picked up some golf balls in the woods next to a local golf course and sold them for a dime each to golfers up at the clubhouse where I was caddying.

Can you explain how the answer to your somewhat vague question will be helpful to you?

Despite what they say in Sri Lanka, posting stuff like this does not get you points or anything. How would asking this be of help to you?

Yep, 70 years ago I was old enough to do my own mail ordering.   You might have to be American to get the references to the box-tops, etc., though, and to understand the post.  And thank goodness the stuff was not being dropshipped from China in those days.

Dunno, but it's a fun thread.

About First Order

First sale on Ebay was back in 1999. It was a rare limited edition U2 CD set from Outtakes .  I think I sold it for over 400 dollars...The bidding wars on it was crazy.  I was so darn excited seeing how many people wanted this item.

Then it sold. I didn't have a clue how to package it up once the check or money order arrived.

Simple fun days.
