About Customer's Return Request

Hi everyone,

One of my customer opened a return request and reason showed item is not as like at the described.

And i have clicked "accept return" button. But i don't entered any label because of this was an international sale. And item is %100 like as described at the listing. And it shows buyer pays return shipping cost at the description.. Now what i should do for not to close this request with buyer's favor..?

Thanks

About Customer's Return Request

You can't send them a label but you do have to send them postage, which you could do through Paypal.  You pay for postage because the item was not as described.

This comes under the Ebay MBG, money back guarantee, get the item you ordered or your money back, includes original price and original shipping.  This policy overrides your policy if you state, no returns.

You can choose to refund without requiring the return if you want to do so.  Don't wait the three days for Ebay to step in if the buyer escalates, and don't escalate it yourself.  Ebay doesn't want to step in, they want you to handle it.  If they have to step in, you get a very serious seller defect that can negatively impact your selling privileges.  If you get more than one, you can be permanently suspended.  One can hurt your visibility.  Any puts your account in jeopardy.

Hope this helps.  Good Luck.

About Customer's Return Request

It's a good idea to spend time reading this Board regularly.  It helps to know what the policies are that you agreed to when you sell here.  It is time well spent.

I hope you will avail yourself of this very valuable tool that is available to you at no charge.

Also, don't wait until the three days are up to respond to the case.  This should be done very promptly, so the buyer doesn't escalate and you get a defect.

Just want to make it clear, OP, that if you require a return, you will pay for return shipping, AND refund original price and original shipping that the buyer paid when the tracking shows delivery back to you.

I see you already accepted the return, so refunding without a return is now a moot point, and you have to provide shipping cost to the buyer.  If they decide to not return, then you can dispute the charge with Paypal, you sent money but buyer did not use it to return item.

I am sorry but i think you understand me wrong. item is %100 same like as described at the listing. There is no any my mistake. And buyer accept that he just want to return it. Not because of item doesn't match description. But case opened with that reason..

We believe you. Unfortunately, ebay does not know who to believe -- the seller or the buyer -- but based on their policies, they choose to believe the buyer in most cases and force the seller to refund.

You must comply or you will jeopardize your selling privileges.

About Customer's Return Request

OP, now that you have accepted the return, you need to message the buyer and request a return shipping quote. You need to have your request in the case notes. If the buyer provides a quote then you can send the amount via PayPal.  Use "pay for goods & services", so if the item is not actually sent back you can file a claim and recoup the money you forwarded.
