50 extra, 100 extra

One seling ID gets the 50 extra listings. The other one gets 100. The one with 50 is the one I was working on my regular 50. The other one I hadn't started on my original 50 yet.  Definitely seems targeted to stimulate listings. Seems silly to think they do that and then have "rolling blackouts".

Except so much junk gets listed during these promos that they have to cut back on showing everything.

It is, it's the same with eBay Bucks..

Right AFTER I make an expensive purchase, I get the 8% 10% eBay Bucks promos.. /eye-roll

They're trying to get me to buy AGAIN.

Yeah...I've never sold anything on this ID. They send me every special offer there is on this one...lol. I also get lots of those 30% off because I haven't been spending enough lately.

could be any number of reasons

1. They want you to resell everything that you bought for less money.

2. They want all humans to be ebay sellers.  Every -single- person.

3. They are tanking stock prices momentarily.

4. They want to bring in cruddy sellers so they can hook and sink them right quick.

5.  They want cruddy listings so they can sink profits for the quarter.

6. They don't want to keep the good sellers.  Pretty soon somebody else will take them off their hands.

7.  They don't like you.

8. They don't like anybody.

9. They're trying to tank stock prices for good.

i'm not sure which one it is but it has to be something!!! SOMETHING! ??????? ANYTHING????

and the junk will not sell or might take longer to.

the sellers doing good are too busy coming to this board and shooting down the cut backs, black outs rumors.

if 1 thing doesn't sell on ebay, it means there are thousands of the same thing listed.

list something people want and it will be seen and sell.

not talking about myself.

have 64 things that are not selling.

64 things that are not hot and desirable enough (or at all).

nothing to do with visibility. 

the OP is right, ebay is targeting people to list more and more.

i get every promo on 1 of my inactive user names.

have been getting 1 promo every month on this user name since i cancelled my store.

1 thing for sure.

it is getting harder to find "potential" sellable items for ebay.

when shopping i see tons of stuff, stuff that would have sold years ago but not today.

the market has changed.

it is no longer fun and easy as it used to be.
