eBay file exchange upload help? Error Code: BAF.Error.7 ErrorMessage: PayPal

Hi guys,

Just been trying to upload a couple of products onto ebay and am getting the below error code..

Status

ErrorCode 

BAF.Error.7

ErrorMessage

PayPal

Am guessing its something to do with Paypal?

Im also using a Mac and saving the file as a: CSV UTF-8 (Comma-Delimited)

Any help would be appreciated.

If you have never uploaded before to File Exchange, there may be something basically wrong with your file.

Export the file in Windows format and don't choose UTF-8.  I am not familiar with the export options on a Mac, but in general, the line-end characters may differ and UTF-8 may prepend control codes to the beginning of the file.

The default windows spreadsheet format is ISO-8859-1 or CP1252, and this is the default upload format for the UK site.

I think its probably to do with some of your data being in a wrong column rather than the type of file or computer

I've also just had this message. Would it be because we weren't able to set up for the managed payments before our deadline 4 days ago? Just thinking with the error message being 'PayPal' and if our account is no longer eligible for PayPal payments?

Nevermind, sorted the problem I was having. Apologies for bothering you.

Was because I had '3' in the PayPal Accepted column instead of '1', incase that helps anyone else who's having problems

My fields are correct though, not sure what's going on.

I see you are in the UK.

Are you using a downloaded spreadsheet structure provided by eBay Seller Hub Uploads?

That spreadsheet should have eliminated the PayPal columns that existed on the old File Exchange templates.

I'm in UK and downloaded it from the UK seller account having said that, the sheet that I have is downloaded from the correct UK url (as I read about that and people already discussed that).

If I remove the paypal columns, will it work?

Since PayPal is no longer supported, those columns should be eliminated.  In the past, staff has also recommended removing any unused columns. I don't know if that is still necessary.  Please see the thread tacked to the top of this forum to make sure any other issues are also addressed.

BAF errors are usually basic file structure issues, so also check for stray spaces and linebreaks.
