Hello guys I’ve worked for a woman for a few years that has a large eBay store. She recently passed away so heartbreaking. Her husband has control of the store and is keeping me on to run the store. I always did the listings and shipping but am now trying to learn the “back side” of eBay that my boss always took care of. Sorry for the story,  but my question is… we have a “premium” store subscription and I just noticed it’s $59.99 a month and our yearly subscription is ending soon.  If we have about 5000 listings and I usually about 50-100 new items  a month should I downgrade to basic? Are the free listing monthly amounts only for new listings I add? or do they apply to all of my total listings? I’m so confused and don’t know if I should downgrade my store or keep it. I’m new to all of this part of eBay as I mentioned my boss took care of all the behind the scenes stuff but I have so much to learn on my own now! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Keep the $60 store. Stores are guaranteed X amount of listings; 'free listings' are not guaranteed past the minute that just went by

And don't forget, the premium store gives you FREE SHIPPING SUPPLIES through ebay (quarterly!). You don't want to miss out on that. It makes that extra monthly fee worth while for a store that lists the amount of listings you have.

You may want to downgrade because the basic store has 10,000 additional "free listings" that may cover you.  Depends on whether your items will fall into the "select categories" on this page:

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/selling-fees/store-fees?id=4809#section2

Click on the "select categories" link to see what they are.....

You could downgrade to a basic store (monthly basis) when the premium subscription ends, and then upgrade back to Premium with no penalty cost if necessary at some point.
