Sales reporting

I only do my books each quarter when my VAT is due and each time i look to see what my sales were for each month, i have difficulty recalling what to do and great difficulty figuring it out. All i want is gross sales, less refunds, less fees and the VAT for those fees. I'm OK with the latter, its identifying my sales which is a problem and i fear i have been mis reporting. Anyone able to guide me?

The page has three buttons:

• Transaction Reports
• Financial Statements
• Tax Invoices

The simplest would be your monthly Financial Statements in PDF format. They have the limited amount of data you need.  Download the monthly "full statement" version, which will list Orders and Fees for individual items and will also show shipping label costs and payouts. I don't know if VAT fees are also shown on this report because I'm not in the UK.

If you prefer to collect your data in spreadsheet format and work with the raw data, use the Transaction Reports button. Set your date range for the quarter, choose the filters from the drop lists, and also make sure the data you want is included by opening the (easy to miss) link to "Customize column headings". This is particularly important for those who need address info.
