Question on Promoting items for Sale

Hi and good morning(depending of course on where you are located). I am pretty new at selling on Ebay and have been selling Baseball Cards. I chose to promote 4 items to sell and I'm noticing that hardly anyone is viewing these promoted items. Am I doing something wrong? Can someone advise me on if it's a good idea to promote items that I'm selling? Is there a different way to promote items I'm selling that would get me more Views?  thanks to all and have a really good day.   Barry

@barrys_baseball_cards

When I'm doing searches, I go right past the promoted listings.

I want to see what I want, not what someone is paying to show me.

Want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Independence Day.

 It depends on whether there's any interest.  The only thing I could say is 2% is the minimum before the promotion will even happen.  Though, it seems the actual minimum is much higher if you want results.

Generally in the current eBay market, yes.  Given a number of other threads around, it seems like it's a requirement to use PL in order to get views and sell items.

As for "different ways" to promote, you can always link to your ebay through social media and your own web site if you got one.

Another suggestion from looking at your stuff: Get off of auctions and looking at doing BIN.  Most people won't care to wait on your auctions to clear for most of what you have listed, which may be another good explanation as to why you aren't getting views.

Plus with what you're starting a lot of them at, you will end up having to pay money to get rid of the items as you will inevitably get one bid on a lot of those.  As a suggestion, read up on the ebay fee structures and costs associated with selling items on ebay.  You will find you need to think about restructuring a lot of your items as listed.
