How does everyone like the latest markdown manager rules?  Merchants cannot have a promotion unless the price stays the same for two weeks.  This has been a disaster for us.  It has caused our sales to plummet.

Short quick sales create a sense of urgencies to a buyer to buy.  Ebay has taken that away from us.

Is it going to take a quarterly loss of income for Ebay to realize this is a huge mistake?

Please share your experience with the new promotions rules.

Re: Promotions

I am used to using Markdown Manager over the years to run sales.

Tried "Promotions" for the first time yesterday.

Now I find out that I can't put my whole store on sale for Labor Day!!

It is MY Store, and I can't even run a sale (I don't do it but a couple of times a year, it is not an ongoing sales method for me).

So safe to say, I am terribly disappointed in how hard it is to use.

Re: Promotions

Every time I think about this I just get SO irritated! I don't like to use the "good til cancelled" option on my listings - (I use the 30 day ) so, a large majority of my listings are Relisted and I still have to wait 14 days to create a sale. I don't have a specific rhyme or reason when I put items on sale.... I just do it when I think it's 'time'. This 'policy' makes me feel like I HAVE to put everything on sale after 2 weeks because I won't be able to do it again for another month. Bottom line (to me) is: To have the 'Markdown Manager' option was the SOLE REASON I got a store!!! For my monthly subscription $, I only get 2 weeks worth of service. "My Promotional Flyer" option hasn't worked for MONTHS - I've called multiple times and it is still not working. But when it comes time for the 'bill' to be paid....ALL THEIR DUCKS ARE IN A ROW!
