Tried the new listing format. Hate it. How do I get back to original format?

They constantly have to "Fix What isn't Broken" to justify their paychecks. Otherwise what are they there for?

Apparently "Everything running smoothly - customers happy" isn't good enough.

aint that the truth lol... i think part of it also is the endless trying to make shareholders happy by saying- look what we are doing! we are improving ebay- buy more stock even though the price has been in a freefall.

Ya know what else would bring the stock price up?- if you showed people what they actually searched for and sales would spike and then sellers would be more profitable and then bring more product and here and start a revitalization of ebay....... everyone wins instead of just charges higher fees and making the search so bad to force people to promote.... this direction is driving profitability down and forcing sellers to leave...... i am not a rocket scientist- but isnt this basic math and common sense?

Stupid new listing format just cost me $4 because of some technical thing when I went to rehab a listing. I hate this. Makes me want to get a booth in an antique mall. At least when they take my money I know how much I'm losing in advance.

i know what you mean. the new listing tool is so discombobulated that you cannot use it with confidence. I am also constantly making mistakes or forgetting to click on something. by overcomplicating it with all the hidden menus and popup boxes and hiding all the item specific text in short little text boxes that require you to open a popup to see,..... you cant see what you did or proof anything.

The take-a-way is that even after using the new unified tool for close to a year now- i am not "used to it" and it is not comfortable- its like using it for the first time every time. I cant get a work flow established. its just too jarring and too much going on in too many places........ Im no brain surgeon but all i know is the classic tool was a simple straight forward one page listing flow that followed a simple and logical order of progression with easy data entry.

Now we have a mobile app that does not format to desktop and is just "off" in almost all sections. 1. pictures rotate opposite of every industry standard editing program for no apparent reason

2. advanced edit feature require extra confirmation clicks to access

3. color and fonts severely limited

4. what should be easily seen and selected features must now be searched for a a maze of popup boxes

5. forced to search for preselected item specifics and click on them from a prepopulated suggestion instead of just typing what you already know you want - adds time and effort

6. shipping section- although much improved from months ago- still does show us even the shipping quotes we need- just a range from $3.89- $425.76 - shows first class to overnight from east coast to Hawaii!

7. if they want to simplify the flow- give us a checkbox to remove sections we will never use- like promoted listings....just clutters up the page for no reason.

To- the teams reading this- i am sure you are sick of hearing from me about this tool but its not just me-look at the thousands of posts and responses- we sellers are reaching out to you for help. mistakes have been made- lets get this fixed please.

the option to go back to classic is being removed from sellers more and more as they accelerate the conversion to this "less efficient" way to list.

at least we can gain comfort from knowing that the new vice president and general manager of ebay has recognized in print that sellers are not at all happy with it!....... of course it would have been far better to listen to us in beta when we told them it was a horrible idea and it does not work well to force a mobile experience on productive desktop listers............but here we are.....again......

Can't find any way to set a listing to "Private" with this idiotic new set up.

It's absolute garbage, for all the reasons already mentioned here, and makes me not want to list anything on this site anymore.

I am confident that we will never get the classic tool back now..... the best we can hope for if making this one actually usable on a desktop. It can be done- ebay design team just needs someone to walk through a listing with them and show them every problem and flaw..... Then they just need to fix it! We can get there but it needs to be done

This crap was only forced on me a few days ago. I did find a way to get back to the old one, by using the business listing tool I think, but now I can't find any way to get it back. The link to the classic view posted earlier in the thread seems to work for me, but I still get the "New and Ruined" version everytime I want to revise a listing which is intollerable.

If ebay can still let people simply "Switch to classic view", then it makes no sense whatsoever to take that option away. If they had both options then they would keep everyone happy. The whole situation is completely and utterly 'tarded.

There is NO choice for the "three vertical dots" to switch to the classic view. I have NOT listed in months cause of this and as it stands I will sell elsewhere.. eBay the ship is sinking again !!

The "classic listing tool" link is a great option.... but it does not work if you do "sell similar" from another listing....its only an option if you start your listings from scratch each time.

Hoping that they update and make more changes to get the new tool working and more like the classic soon.

Even the new General Manager of the Ebay USA noticed in print how the new listing tool has not been accepted or liked by the majority of sellers and that they need to work on it. Lots of push back......

That will happen when you take away a great tool and forcibly replaced with a mobile app that has 1/2 the functionality and is full of glitches and the User interface is horrible on a desktop.......where most of the revenue generating listings originate.

Lets get this tool fixed and working on a desktop so we can get back to work!
