File Exchange

We now know that eBay has not provided us long time TL users with a new replacement that is not time consuming and/or expensive.

Has anyone found a way to export from TL into a file exchange file (we know the pictures will not transfer) that will allow us to add the pictures back so we don't need to entirely start from scratch? Entering thousands of items manually is pretty much out of the question.

Export from TL to a File Exchange CSV. The spreadsheet data can then be modified to match the File Exchange structure.  I'm working on a tool to help newbies work with File Exchange, so I'd love to see your data. Maybe I can come up with a converter for the basic data columns once I see the Turbo export columns. Unfortunately, my TL hasn't worked for the past 5 years, so I have no raw data at my disposal.

Just some things to get started. Possibly make sure that you are compacted; backed up. Also, I do not know if you are aware of this or not but if photos do not meet current photographic requirements listing tools such as Sixbit can not fix this for you. They do size pictures for optimal viewing across ebay mobile and website viewing if your photography currently meets photo requirements for size but are not optimized for viewing on mobile and web. Also, the same applies for active content that may be on any of your desktop TL listings. You may want to remove active content prior to this process. In TL you will use the export data button and it will ask you how and where you would like to export this data. CVS and Excel file icons will be choices. You will need a destination for the exported file. When you import into your new program/lister it is these files that you select and then import. This is only a rough walk through the process. But, provides a basic idea.
