File Exchange Problem with Accented Characters

On Italian ebay site I'm having problems when loading or revising new listings, because in the description and also in the custom attributes the accented characters (i.e. è, à...) are not shown correctly ().

Please note that I'm not new with loadings, I've an experience of more than 10 years.

In the Action Header I'm using CC=UTF-8, but also CC=ISO-8859-1, or without it the result is always the same: accented characters not show correctly...

Can I ask if ebay have changed somthing in the platform? How to solve it?

Thank you in advance

Hi @autogeniusit,

What file type are you selecting when you save the file?  Please try selecting "CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited)" as the file type.

@autogeniusit

Are you using Seller Hub Uploads to upload your CSV file?

https://www.ebay.it/sh/reports/uploads

Could you provide some item numbers with this problem?

Are you seeing this with other browsers or other devices?

File Exchange Problem with Accented Characters

@shipscriptright, I'm uploading the CSV file through Seller Hub Uploads.

Please see for example the following ItemID: 272448564247

All the main browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, etc) have the same result.

File Exchange Problem with Accented Characters

Hi tools_apps_team@ebay as explained in my first post this is not the first time with file exchange.

In Italy we use semicolon, not comma, to delimitate cells in CSV. I've always done it for 10 years without problems... so I don't understand where is the error...

tools_apps_team@ebaythank you, I tried as you said and it worked 🙂

Don't know why it worked in past without this option.

Anyway thank you for your help.
