1) Variations Specifics and Item Specifics entered for a Multi-SKU item should be different.
This is a pretty common "mandate" error that means eBay has reserved some heading for the Item Specifics and those reserved words can not be used as the names of your variation groups. Typically "Color" and "Size" may be reserved and should be replaced with something similar, like "Colors" and "Sizes". Avoid using any heading that is found in the list of Item Specifics. The cause of this problem is that eBay has begun reserving words. The solution is to edit the variation names. However, if there are other mandates that must be met at the same time, then they must all be addressed at once, since any of the mandates can prevent revision (a Catch-22 circular problem).
2) Variation Specifics provided does not match with the variation specifics of the variations on the item.
When there is a mismatch between the list of variations in your revision and the variations in the source (in eBay's database), eBay will issue this error. I most often see this issue when bulk uploading revisions to the variation names and values, where a variation was deleted manually prior to renaming the others. If you are revising the prices using eBay's report and are not altering the variation names/values, I don't think this error should occur.
3) Missing name in the variation specifics or variation specifics set.
The list of individual RelationshipDetails (variation names/values) in the updated spreadsheet contains an element that is not included in the summary row of RelationshipDetails in the parent row for that listing. As examples: if some variations included the Color=Lavender, but Lavender is missing from the Color summary in the parent row. Or if Color, Type, and Size are the three options and only Color and Type are listed in the revision. If eBay generated the report and you did not alter it, this should not occur.
4) Test
I would recommend selecting one item that contains all three errors.
Enter your Name and Site, and place that item number in the search field of the VariationScanner:

After retrieving that one listing, scroll down and fill in the replacement names for your variations and select the "Rename" option. Generate the spreadsheet report and upload to eBay. Then see what errors remain. This is probably the easiest method for renaming variations in bulk, but if other mandates exist, they must be addressed in the same upload.
I should mention that when renaming a variation, the photos, quantity, price, and sku that belong to each variation must be restated, which the tool will do.
