Trying to figure out why I am constantly getting the "We found the following active content in your listing:Javascript" error message on my listings even though I use the eBay 'help me fix this' tool.
I have spent 2 hours researching, found lots of different suggestions all to no avail. I am tearing my hair out! Please advise .

eBay-Active Content Scanner

I used that. I did the scan 3 times, none of the rows turn red. But every listing I go into still gives me that same error message. 😥

Are you using a Template? If yes then the issue is likely contained in the Template rather than a specific listing.
If it's in the Template you need to a have a close look in HTML mode.
The most frequent cause of this issue results from copy/paste from an online source where you inadvertently copy fragments of hidden code.
If you don't use Templates are you copying information from an online source and pasting it into your description? If that is the cause when you copy/paste you need to add an extra step, copy from the source, paste in Notepad, copy/paste from Notepad (Notepad converts all content to plain text and strips out any coding).

What about this one? I'd run that scan again, if I were you . . .

Yes - I was messing with that one just now. But seriously they all give me the same error message!

When eBay's fixit tool removes active content, and then it just comes back again while you are in the listing, it usually means LastPass is the culprit. LastPass seems to utilize eBay's description box as some sort of clipboard when the listing is saved.
In fact, LastPass code is what I see in the screenshot that @pburn posted (all that lpcurruser).
To avoid that problem, turn off LastPass when listing or revising on eBay.

Please take the advice offered by @shipscript in message #7. shipscript is the amazing person responsible for the active content tool--and so many more--available on the isdntek.com website. You can't get a better person taking a look at your listing issues . . .
