1) I use Turbo Lister to create new listings with links to self hosted pictures. If I put https in for my picture links Turbo Lister does not see or pull the pictures. After attempting to upload new items everything fails due to requiring a picture. I put http back in my links and everyhing works fine. I know Turbo Lister is no longer supported but I'm quite sure many people still use it.
2) I use file exchange frequently to make changes to listings. When downloading an active listings report it includes numerous field but what would really be useful is I can also have the descriptions included in the download. This would make bulk editing jobs like contact info and changing all the http to https very easy. I realize that bulk editing can be done through Selling Manager but with 2 Ebay accounts containing about 12,000 and 25,000 doing 200 items at a time through Selling Manager is a little impracticle.

There are five ways to access your item description (FileExchange is not one of them), besides the eBay BEAR editor...
1. Subscribe to one of the commercial listings packages, inkfrog, SixBit, CrazyLister, WonderLister, etc. For the right subscription levels you can obtain a csv file export,
2. Use the eBay API. This requires considerable programming expertise (but is pretty straightforward),
3, Use TurboLister to copy your active listings into an inventory folder and create a csv export file. This is problematic for the number of listings you have. My 5000+ listings give me fits sometimes.
4. Use the tool listed in this thread...https://community.ebay.com/t5/Replacing-Active-Content/How-to-find-and-cope-with-Active-Content-tuto...
Note that you will have to devote some time for this. The number of ypour listings will take time, no matter what tool you use. The tools in step 4 are limited to about 10k listings, but it allows you to break up your listings by category. That may help you complete the project. You might read the other threads on that discussion board.
5. You may also be able to use the i-ways tool to make changes (not download descriptions). I have not tried it, as I prefer 4 above.
